Sure thing, I'll print ya one.

Can we jump on the bandwagon?? We would LOOVE one!! And if the cost of printing all of these is too high, please let us contribute something.

:santa: It will be so much fun to do a Christmas countdown on our door tree. We have a special wooden Advent house with a little door to hide treats for each day, and of course, we won't get to use it this year. We'll just add an ornament to our tree each day instead, which will be a countdown to remember!

Thanks!

DH is also really sensitive to scents; I use All Free and Clear, too (great stuff!). Our last two cruises, I made my own little detergent packets (the pods weren't available at the time). I poured the appropriate amt of All onto a washcloth and placed it in a ziplock baggie. I think I made 5 of these and could have used a couple more. They took up very little space in our suitcase, and I just threw the washcloth into the machine with our clothes. Worked like a charm. I'm a bit foggy, but I *think* there may have been some unscented Tide in the laundry room's machine.

Great idea! I wouldn't have thought of this! If I can't find the little pods, I'll definitely do it.

I have been watching The Weather Channel and their coverage of Isaac. I hope everyone who may be in the path stays safe. Do we have anyone from the New Orleans area sailing with us? We might get a little rain from Isaac here in Houston , but not very much. It looks like the Midwest might get some much needed rain as Isaac runs into land. Sherry

Gosh, the last place a hurricane needs to be (unless it's in a chilled glass ;)) is NOLA. It's a slow-moving storm, so I'm hoping for the best for the residents there. DD Jess is flying from Austin to Atlanta Thursday afternoon; hope the flights aren't affected too badly....but I think she's in for a bumpy ride! A friend just had to cut a Bahamas vacation short due to Isaac...only made it three nights out of seven .

Great idea! I wouldn't have thought of this! If I can't find the little pods, I'll definitely do it.

Fabulous idea! I'm always afraid the pods won't dissolve completely in our HE machine.

Happy to be of service! I might have gotten a few strange looks in the laundry room, but it worked :thumbsup2.

I'll print one for ya and bring it to the meet on the first day. No cost, just bring magnets to attach to the back of the paper tree so it sticks to the door. I made my ornaments between 1" and 2" in diameter.
How big are you making your trees? I'm thinking of doing one in felt (or some other material that won't show obvious folds).

I think I remember a few people who were cruising without kids talking about being seated together for dinner. We are doing a late seating & would be interested in sitting with fellow DISers.

Also, I think I PM'ed the correct person, but just in case, we would like to sign up for the ornament exchange......me & DH (Lyndi & Denver).

For the people who were organizing tours of the ruins in Costa Maya.....are they all full or do you still have room for 2 more? Are they families or just adults?

Thanks for any info.....sorry, I jotted down info when I would see it but forgot to keep track of people or post #'s to go back to & I'm finally getting around to planning! :)

My husband and I could use table mates We live in Indy and are in our 30s and have no kids. We have 2nd seating.

That's pretty exciting! I think I leave home 100 days from today, too. I'll be at Albany airport, waiting for my flight to Chicago. HOPE it's not snowing.

Today's question

Something old, something new, something borrowed . . .

What are you buying NEW just for this trip? Are you bringing anything borrowed? What will be the oldest thing in your suitcase?

Happy Day, all!

Happy Day, all!

That's why we fly 2 days before d-day!

Something old-> underwear (take alot so we can dispose them in the bin at the end of the day)
Something new -> new clothes
Something borrowed - wall outlet!
Even have things that are blue ;)

We will be leaving home in 101 days.

I just bought two new things for this trip--a new bathing suit (old ones are too big::yes::) and a nice new, big, floppy straw hat.

The oldest thing in my bag will most likely be my socks, since I don't plan to buy any new ones between now and then. I'll just throw them out after I wear them. I don't think I'll be taking anything borrowed, but that can change, I suppose, if anyone offers to lend me anything useful!

Two weeks from today I'll be sailing to Canada on Magic, and once I get back from that trip I'll really start getting organized for this one!

I never heard anyone say passports were cute before LOL!!!

Well, they're 3 and 5, so cute ages. I love this age - they are so much fun. They are going to LOVE this trip! I just hope there are still excursions available for us newbies who have to wait to book until SEPTEMBER!!

I was also trying to figure out how to take them down to WDW in October to take advantage of the discounted room rates - I really want to stay at the Yacht Club with them. There's no way I'll be able to get out of work for a week though (sigh). Plus, dh wants to spend the money on hardwood for the house. So boring!!! We are considering going down for Labor Day though. I wonder how awful it will be, between the heat and the crowds.

My favorite character has to be Mickey. Always has been, always will be.

My something new is a new formal dress. My husband and I are renewing our vows next weekend with family and a few friends so I got a new dress. Our 40th anniversary is actually Dec 9' our sail date. Next weekend is 40 years that he proposed to me. It was a very short engagement due to the fact that he was leaving for Naval Flight School in Pensacola. My dress is very different for me and kinda :bride: but it will be fun for one of the formal nights. :wizard: Sherry

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!

Scrapbook ladies check your email boxes! I sent out a group email yesterday - and then a correction right after.

Linda - I didn't get any email from your re: scrapbooking. I checked my SPAM too and nothing showed up there either. Can you resend?

Something old - my DH (tee hee)
Something new - most my clothes. I have lost almost 50 lbs this year and plan to lose another 20 before the cruise. The clothes I bought at the beginning of the summer, are starting to get big. After another 20 lbs. they may be falling off. Not sure where I will find clothes in November in Canada for the warmer weather.

Labor Day should be good - hot but low crowds because many of the souther schools have started already.
