Everyone who has requested a log and certifcate, they have been printed. I will bring the logs to the first day meet and the certificates at the last day. Glad everyone liked them, please Thank Mel from the creative boards on designing them, she rocks! And I am happy to spare my time for you guys. Though having 2 computers with four monitors at work helps!
I still have 24 more FE's to complete, I won't be able to do them till Thursday night so it looks like no sleep for me that night, I am normally not so last minute...
Last night I heard cursing coming from the bathroom, DH was trying to remember how to tie bow ties. He ALWAYS forgets how to tie them! He needs to wear a tux more so he stops forgetting. He finally got it after a half hour but we will be packing a back-up pre-tied one just incase....
And finally, I forgot my rings this morning in my mad rush out of the house (It doesn't help that the boss interrupted my morning routine) so I won't have them thill Thursday night so for the rest of the week, I am going to "panic" everytime I look and they aren't there until I remember I forgot them...
No trouble at all, and remember, I have been working at a landfill!
All great advice, I am quite experianced in the lice department. It comes from working at a camp for eight years! Towards the end of those 8 years, I was in charge of checking every incoming camper for lice. When I first started working at camp, one camper slipped by with lice and by the end of the week, all 200 campers plus 40 staff had lice. The camp had to be closed for a week to disinfect. I did a lot of combing and washing that week.
Tips: If you have a black light, use it to search for the eggs, they will "glow", also, lice like to lay their eggs behind the ears and along the neck line, so check those areas first and well. I would bring things just incase. It will be a pain on the ship as all clothes, bedding etc need to be washed daily in HOT boiling water or keep in freezing temperature or in sealed bags for a few days. And I second Linda, I would be more than willing to help out. After you inspected close to 5,000 heads in your life and have shampooed and combed close to 200, you become immune and quite good at it! Let me know if you need any more info.
Your day was far busier than mine! I never left the house or my PJs but did finish 100 FE gifts

I'm sorry you had to go to so much trouble! thank you so much!
I actually had to go thru the trash this weekend myself. the girls had an essay to do this weekend and Angela couldn't find her papers. After I dug into the trash can she decided she left it at school! Ugh!!

That dreaded LICE word. I've got 4 girls and I would be very proactive on this. Go to a drugstore and get a good lice comb such as a Nit Free Terminator Lice Comb, whether you think they have lice or not. Also have a magnifying glass handy. Start using the comb now. Comb the kids hair with the specialty comb and inspect the comb to see what it has picked up. I've found that this is easiest after they have showered and used hair conditioner. If all looks good..great! If you find a lice, I would contact your pharmacist or even your pediatrician to find out what is working on lice these days. I've heard that in the past few years the little buggers have become immune to some treatments. But combing daily, several times a day, can be very effective. Use this comb daily until you are absolutely sure that there are positively no lice. Lice is easily transferred from child to child and from child to adult. Bedding also has to be changed daily as the gestation time for head lice is 10 days. An adult can live for up to 30 days. If bedding and other items are not properly treated, eggs can hatch and reinfestation occurs. The last time my dd got lice (I checked after the dreaded school notice) I used the comb on her hair at least 2 times a day for about a week. Don't forget to remind the kids to not share hats, coats, hair brushes, etc. If you do find out on board that something has happened, just look me up. This doesn't freak me out at all and I'd be glad to help you with the combing if you would like

GOOD Morning, Happy Cruisers!
I pulled an Emily yesterday - Up at 5, breakfast for DH to go skiing, gym, 2 grocery stops, 2 loads of laundry, baked cookies, tidied up house, had neighbors to tea, backed two suitcases, unpacked one and repacked into a larger one, made dinner, talked on the phone (something I rarely do- thank heavens for speaker!), made another ornament, and collapsed into bed at 9 pm. The old lady can't hang.![]()
