Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

Sorry for the possibly dumb question but the last time I was at WDW there was no such thing as MDE and so therefore I am not familiar with the new system. If Orbitz provides the information to link the tickets to MDE, does this mean one does not have to pick up anything from Will Call using the vouchers and the tickets will remain valid indefinitely if unused?

That is my understanding if you are staying on site and/or have magic bands.

Purchased tickets Friday morning and got a message last night on my cash back update - $197.46 for 1 adult and 2 child tickets (3+2 free park hoppers) not bad on a $987.27 purchase! I will be redeeming our Airmiles for the other 2 adult tickets that we need. Now that Disney has increased the prices this is a no brainer!

I purchased my tickets Thursday night, but don't have any cash back pending yet in Ebates. I know it supposedly can take up to a week. Anyone else purchase Thursday or earlier and still not see their cash back in Ebates yet?

:confused3
What did I do wrong?

Activities
Universal Orlando Theme Parks $407.97
Walt Disney World®... $1,025.61
Total due at booking $1,433.58

Today in my Ebates I have a pending credit for $81.59.

It appears I only got the Ebate off the Universal tix...... I have sent an email to Ebates requesting them to make the correction. I hope this goes smoothly!

I have the same problem . I purchased universal tickets total:$768.95
and walt Disney world tickets total:$1690.18 and my ebates account shows an ebate for: $153.79 I'm not sure why that is a 20% ebate should have been a little over $490 I sent an email to ebates and currently I'm waiting for a response. Anyone else had problems?:confused3

I have had problems with Ebates in the past with getting the incorrect credit... but if you email them, they will make it right. I have never had an experience where they didn't do the right thing, though. If anything, they might have you forward them your receipt. Hope that helps.

It looks like it's only giving 20% for one line item of your purchase. It's probably best to do separate transactions if you need different products.

A big thank you to those of you who helped spread the word on this deal. The offer was still ongoing last night, and assuming everything works well with the cash back, my family is going to save over $500 on theme park passes.

This totally made my evening!

So, right now I have a package booked for Sept. 5 night stay with 2-day passes. Hoping for free dining to be offered! I also just bought 4 5-day hopper passes on Orbitz. What I'm wondering is if I can somehow switch out the 2-day passes with the Orbitz hoppers in MDE and save the 2-day passes for later. I'm just afraid that any fast passes we schedule on MDE will be linked to the 2-day tickets. Can I have 2 passes on each wristband? Then maybe I could use the Orbitz hopperss and have them issue me paper tickets for the unused 2 day passes before we leave WDW? Anyone have any suggestions on how to finagle this?

You can deactivate passes in MDE and even reassign them if they have not been used. There is a way to set up the priority in which passes are used at the gate if you have more than one pass attached to a name. You may need to contact IT about doing it.

I called Disney the other day about this... IT told me they can prioritize the tickets, and put the set you want to use first. You have to go to Guest Services though to have this done.

Oh, thank you Marionette and mrsap! I was hoping there was a way! We are formulating plans to take our 9 grandkids in groups of 2 and 3 over the next 5-6 years. I might just buy a ton of these hopper passes on Orbitz to lock in the prices! Such a great deal!

I purchased my tickets Thursday night, but don't have any cash back pending yet in Ebates. I know it supposedly can take up to a week. Anyone else purchase Thursday or earlier and still not see their cash back in Ebates yet?

I'm still waiting too. I purchased on Tuesday afternoon. I'm beginning to think I did something wrong. I clicked thru Ebates to Orbitz, so I don't know why everyone else seems to have their rebate pending. Still hoping it works out for us :)

So excited I found this thread! With the price increases, I was scrambling to figure our tickets for December. My debit only allows me to spend 500.00 a day, so I bought one ticket thru UT at 290.00 (4 +1 day)
Then i saw this thread, and the DH said "Use the business cc and grab those tickets thru Ebates/Orbitz! :thumbsup2 So, I got the remaining 3 tickets, 3 +2, at 280.00, plus will get the 20% cashback in May! Use the 170.00 towards our Universal tickets! :cool1:

Questions, we have a throwaway night right now reserved for our first night since we are offsite. Assuming offsite can prebook FP by December, will I need to go to Willcall if we cancel the throwaway? I'm a bit confused on how this will all work. DO I need to call Orbitz to get a number, am I understanding, to use on my Disney acct? With my trip not until December, when should I call for that?

So excited! Thanks again all!

So we rarely stay on property and won't be in May. Do I even bother getting the magic codes from Orbitz and linking my tickets to MDE? I won't have magic bands or anything like that so I am not able to reserve fast passes ahead of time.

This is a long thread. How does this work? You get a voucher for tickets and not actual tickets????

Ebates will give us 20% back on the tickets???

Ok, I think I can throw out my tums.:goodvibes I called Guest Services this morning. I asked about linking my tickets to MB even though I already had an AP. She advised waiting until my AP's expired to do that. I asked about the magic code from orbitz and if it would expire if I didn't use it during the time period that I indicated picking up my tickets on my original order. She said that the code should not expire and neither would the tickets until 14 days after I use them. And I can pick up the tickets at a ticket window or guest services. I will plan to get them at GS because I am going to buy a TIW card on our first day in the park anyways. So, I think all of my questions have been answered. Thanks for all the help from everyone.

I just got my tickets linked also. If the CSR on the phone doesn't know what you talking about, be politely persistent. He tried to give me several numbers, including my will call number and an Orbitz A&S code so I had to repeat several times I needed the My Magic number. He eventually found it and the tickets are successfully linked!

How long after you booked did you speak to them when they provided the code? I just booked on Saturday, and in just speaking with CS they said they don't have access to the code in their system until 5 days after you book.

Hello all! Just joining this board so I can get some answers to this great deal, hope you can help me.

Question 1
I am thinking about going sometime in May to WDW.
But due to uncertainty, we may go in late April or early June.
At Orbitz, I can only put in a 30-day period. What is the best course of action?

Question 2
Also to lock in prices for next year tickets, I am reading through this thread and it seems that the tickets don’t expire. interesting....
So does it matter what days I put in from the Orbitz site?

Question 3
Can you confirm that this is what needs to be done?
1) Buy tickets from Orbitz
2) Call Orbitz 10 days later, and get the Magic Code
3) Go to Disney Experience site and enter those Magic Code to register my tickets
4) When I want to Disney, go to Disney resort and pick up my tickets.

That means I dont have to go pick up physically pick up the tickets in the dates I put in Orbitz?

Question 4
Once tickets are entered into Disney Experience, they won’t expire?
And it will only expire 14 days after I start using the tickets.
Is that correct?!

Question 5
What do I need to do to get FastPass registered to those tickets when I go pick them up at the booth?

I've read the whole thread twice, and I don't think this has been asked/answered. This may be more of a DVC question than a ticket question.

I bought tickets last night for a Dec. trip. There is a chance we may not go if I end up pregnant in the next 3-4 months. I listed my mom as the pickup person since my parents will still go even if we don't. I know that you can link your tickets to your MDE account and they won't expire anytime soon (someone on Slickdeals said it shows a 2030 expiration date). So maybe I don't need my mom to pick them up after all.

My question is this - when we go, we go with my parents who are DVC members. We stay in a 2 br with them. Since the room reservation will be under their name/MDE account, would our tickets need to be on their MDE account? Or can you associate multiple MDE accounts with a single reservation? I don't want to add these tickets to the wrong account and have them inaccessible.
