Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

Hello. I am planning my first Disney trip to Walt Disney World in Orlando, and I have a question: If I buy the Disney tickets only and link it to MDE, would I be able to make FP reservations at 60 days? Or do I need to also book a Disney resort to get this option? The reason I ask is because I am planning to stay at an off-site hotel. Thanks!

I've been running the numbers on the annual pass deal.
A 10 day ticket through Orbitz is $361.04. The Disney price for the same ticket is $377.01.
After exchanging the voucher for a ticket, I'd use the ticket at a park and then go to a ticket booth at any time and request the upgrade. I'm a FL resident, so the Disney price on the annual pass is $516.53 after tax. My cost to upgrade the ticket at the booth should be $516.53 - $377.01 = $139.52.
I'd save ~$16 on the price of the ticket and ~$72 with the 20% Cash Back.

Did I miss anything in my calculations?
The 10 day ticket should yield the most savings if you plan to convert to an annual pass.

I guess I should add the park hopper option to the Orbitz ticket, which would make the total $423.87 (Disney price $440.91).
This would increase the 20% savings to ~$85.
Have you looked at the 5 day tickets?

Any veterans can help? :)

Hello all! Just joining this board so I can get some answers to this great deal, hope you can help me.

Question 1
I am thinking about going sometime in May to WDW.
But due to uncertainty, we may go in late April or early June.
At Orbitz, I can only put in a 30-day period. What is the best course of action?

Question 2
Also to lock in prices for next year tickets, I am reading through this thread and it seems that the tickets don’t expire. interesting....
So does it matter what days I put in from the Orbitz site?

Question 3
Can you confirm that this is what needs to be done?
1) Buy tickets from Orbitz
2) Call Orbitz 10 days later, and get the Magic Code
3) Go to Disney Experience site and enter those Magic Code to register my tickets
4) When I want to Disney, go to Disney resort and pick up my tickets.

That means I dont have to go pick up physically pick up the tickets in the dates I put in Orbitz?

Question 4
Once tickets are entered into Disney Experience, they won’t expire?
And it will only expire 14 days after I start using the tickets.
Is that correct?!

Question 5
What do I need to do to get FastPass registered to those tickets when I go pick them up at the booth?

FP+ reservations are only available to guests staying on site at a Disney Hotel.

We go once or twice a year but usually only for 2-3 days at a time, so I prefer to just purchase the 10-day MYW PH WPM with No Expiration.

I just pulled the trigger on 2 adults and 2 child tickets with Orbitz through EBates. It was $3146.02 and then I'll get $629.20 back, so net cost was $2516.82 for the 4 of us (which works out on average to about $63/day admission to the main parks) And the WPM days are just gravy.

I usually get them from UT but this deal was too good to pass on. Thanks OP!

BTW, did anyone else notice that Orbitz hasn't updated yet to WDW new pricing which I thought went into effect today? That's probably another $140 I saved.

Good point....I hadn't.

Those look to be the better deal, as the tickets are ~$107 cheaper, which more than offsets the lower 20% savings.

Thanks for the heads-up!
You're welcome! Those are the ones I ordered. I'm not sure if there are any better discounts than the 5 day tickets.

I have free dining (bounce back) in Sept. Would it be possible to save the 2 day tickets we get for that package to use in the future? Is it cost effective to just upgrade those instead of doing this deal? Trying to decide what the best options are for us. This seems like such a good deal I hate to pass it up. :confused3

It didn't seem like the ebates 20% was still valid on activities today BUT I agree that they haven't updated to the new pricing so it was $120 cheaper to book through Orbitz than Disney for a 5 day no hopper ticket vs. what was showing on Disney's site with their increase today. Sold!!!

Strange I am still showing 20% off.

The 20% rebate is still valid today.

So I pulled the trigger on 3+2 PH for 2 adults, 2 children on ebates/orbitz on Friday night. I have already linked them to MDE after reading these posts & emailing orbitz. So easy, the replied in 12 hours with the information.

I am sure it is posted somewhere, but any thoughts on when ebates will update? I am more concerned about them because of the discrepancies some people seem to be facing.

Any insight would be helpful!

I'm wondering if today might be the last day, since last Tuesday was the first day the OP of this thread saw the 20% off.

Could very well be since Orbitz I have noticed releases new discount codes on Tues. Which is what I have noticed. So better not drag your feet if you want in on this offer.

I think i have been analyzing it too much. I was comparing 5 day without hopper on orbitz to 5 day with hopper on Disney. That how I was seeing the $107 difference. The real difference is more like $46. According to my math, the 10 day with hopper yields the best savings when upgrading to an annual pass.

I purchased two tickets on Saturday and my account is already showing pending.:cool1:
I ordered two more today so I hope that will show up tomorrow or Wednesday. Good Luck!

As far as the dates, if I input the dates that I think I'll use the WDW tickets on Orbitz and then change the dates, it shouldn't matter right?

I should be able to link these to MDE to do FP+ if staying onsite, right?

About to do the deal!

ETA: Is there an easy way to link them to MDE?

After you buy them, give it a couple days then either call or email Orbitz and ask for your My Magic number. This will allow you to link the tickets.

NO need to call orbitz. You can find your will call number on Orbitz. Just click you upcoming vacation by your name on the top line of Orbitz. On the next screen click the date listed. Scroll down till you see your will call confirmation number which should start with 4 letters. It will be available within a few minutes after purchasing.

Then go to MDE and add the confirmation number to the ticket section.
