Ebates 20% back for Orbitz tickets

How long after you booked did you speak to them when they provided the code? I just booked on Saturday, and in just speaking with CS they said they don't have access to the code in their system until 5 days after you book.

This is incorrect. I booked Thursday night, and was able to get the code and link the tickets Sunday morning when I called. It might help if you tell them that you're looking for a code that starts with four letters, followed by eight numbers. That's how I was able to get the correct code, after first being given an incorrect one.

It can take up to 7 days to get your cash back in your account... took as long as a month once for me, but I did eventually get it.

Are the tracking tickets listed under the "Shopping Trips" tab under "Cash Back Activity"? I see an Orbitz shopping trip # but don't see a check next to the number. Thanks!

I ordered Saturday at noon, and first saw the checkbox this morning, Monday morning. A little less then 48 hours later. Who know's if that's standard, or if they run their batches to sync up those shopping sessions with each vendor differently during the week vs the weekend etc. I wouldn't worry unless its been more then 2 -3 days since you purchased and dont see the checkbox on the shopping session.

Called this morning and was able to get the My Magic Code and linked it immediately to My Disney Experience!!!! So much fun to personalize Magic Bands and pick FP+!!!! I ordered them on WED night....BTW....ebates refund was in my account Fri morning.

If you get the MDE number from Orbitz and link then to your account, do you even have to pick up the tickets at will call? Can they be used years from now? Also if I get nonexpiring tickets with water park fun option, how can I use the fun option on a trip that I am using other tickets for the parks? In other words if I am visiting the park on tickets without the water park fun option can I still use only the fun option part of my non expiring tickets on the same trip? What of I want to use the fun option in the middle of the trip? Thanks so much for the help!

Sounds like it takes a different amount of time depending on whatever variables. It definitely doesn't take 5 days for everyone, but maybe it does for some.

Hi folks, I'm new here and I decided to get on this deal. I purchased two 4+1 park hopper tickets for Disneyland after clicking through ebates. In the orbitz voucher it states 'Valid dates: XXX' (XXX -> the dates that I entered when ordering through orbitz). If we choose to go on a different date, will we have problems using the vouchers? Thanks!

I have the same question (and it seems many others do). It's clear for Disneyworld, I don't want to assume it's the same for Disneyland

Yes! I just did the deal. If you look up at the top right corner, it says "Shop Travel, Spa, and Entertainment Week With Double Cash Back!". It lists the Orbitz deal as one of the ones that is getting double cash back. Looks like it will be a good deal all week long!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just saved $253.49 on my 8-day trip in 2 months, and $112 on my parents' 5 day trip in a couple weeks! That savings is on top of the savings by purchasing through Orbitz and not direct at Disney World.

I've been running the numbers on the annual pass deal.
A 10 day ticket through Orbitz is $361.04. The Disney price for the same ticket is $377.01.
After exchanging the voucher for a ticket, I'd use the ticket at a park and then go to a ticket booth at any time and request the upgrade. I'm a FL resident, so the Disney price on the annual pass is $516.53 after tax. My cost to upgrade the ticket at the booth should be $516.53 - $377.01 = $139.52.
I'd save ~$16 on the price of the ticket and ~$72 with the 20% Cash Back.

Did I miss anything in my calculations?
The 10 day ticket should yield the most savings if you plan to convert to an annual pass.

I guess I should add the park hopper option to the Orbitz ticket, which would make the total $423.87 (Disney price $440.91).
This would increase the 20% savings to ~$85.
