We are traveling with some small children that will be tired at the end of the day. I have 3 questions.
1. How late is the pool at the Royal Pacific open at night?
2. Can you get some food from a restaurant at City Walk, bring it back to the pool and eat it there?
3. Are the dive in movies only on Friday night and what time do they start?
Thanks in advance.

1.) RPR pool is open until around 10 pm, although I've seen it open until 11 pm.

2.) Yes, you can order take-out from Citywalk and eat by the pool.

3.) I don't have an answer for the dive-in movies.

Thanks for the information. We are looking forward to our trip. It sounds like a great hotel!!!

They had a "dive-in" movie last sat night. It was willie wonka and the chocolate factory. (didnt watch it, we went to the smashmouth concert)

pathubia: I noticed you'd been to both HRH and RPR multiple times. I'm planning a vacation for me (44 YO female) and my 2 sons (20 and 12) for the last week of June and just can't decide between the two. Sons LOVE to swim. What do you think are the advantages of each and which one is your favorite and why. I apologize for asking on this thread, but I knew you'd see it this way. Thanks in advance for your help!

Make sure you don't try to bring any alcohol over from Citywalk. My sister and I had margaritas and security stopped us and wouldn'tmade us drink them first. My poor husband ended up bringing our 4 children back to RP while my sister and I say on a comfortable chair outside of Margaritaville sipping our drinks.

If I were you I'd go with the HRH. That is my favorite and I think your sons would prefer it. I could be wrong, but its just so coool there. Neither pool gets very deep. I think its about 4 feet at the deepest spot, but the HRH has a water slide. All three hotels are great. We went with the RPR this time cause of price. Hoping to stay at the HRH next time.......

Tigger&Belle: We have suffered from some major brain freezes sucking down frozen margarita's at the gate, LOL

Pathubia, I looked the security guy in the eyes and said, "You mean my husband is going to have to bring our 4 kids back to the room while I sit and drink a margarita with my sister??? That's awful! ;) ".

Ramona, I would also go with HRH. Your kids may want to go to the parks without you or you might want to break while they stay in the park and the HRH location can't be beat for going back and forth from the hotel to the parks. Thye'd probably enjoy the waterslide at HRH more than the interacive play area at RPR.
