If so, do you know if they had the potato leek soup?

It is my favorite food in all of WDW and the last 2 times I've eaten there, they have not had it. I'll be there next week for lunch and I'm really hoping they have it then. :goodvibes

I was there in May and they had a cream of cauliflower soup (it was really good BTW) Not sure if there was a 2nd one or not, I don't think I saw potato leek.

Thanks for the response! I'm really hoping they have potato leek soup, but I'm not sure if they even serve it anymore. I could eat a whole vat of the stuff. :)

I'm sure it was good, but it seems so random for a German restaurant. (Or, maybe I'm just not in the know when it comes to traditional or trendy German foods.) When we were there last year, they had a creamy tomato soup w/ bacon. For us, their potato & leek soup was greatly missed! I've made it at home, but it just wasn't the same. Biergarten used to be DH's favorite, but the absence of their p&l soup & the subsitution of chicken schnitzel for pork wienerschintzel make it not as "favorite-ty."

It used to be my favorite restaurant and a must-do on every trip (and I go 3-4 times a year!). Now I only go every once in a while. The food is still tasty, but it's just not the same with some of my favorites (like the potato leek soup!).

We dined at Biergarten on the Wednesday, the 14th of December and the potato and leek soup was served at dinner that night! I distinctly remember because I wanted to try it but there were too many other things already on my plate that I didn't want to mess around with a bowl of soup.

I hope it's on the menu for you when you visit.

Occasionally they have had the potato leek soup at Rose and Crown as well. Not sure if this is still the case, but I've had it there on at least 2 occasions.

I agree about Biergarten...great food and if you are a beer drinker the Spaten Optimator is AMAZING!
