Eat my fav, THIS! But, Whatever you do, don't eat THAT!

Eat this: Ralph Brennan Express - BEIGNETS! If you're strolling thru Downtown Disney in the a.m. on the way to the Park - you gotta! :dance3:

Not that: Workin' on it...:rolleyes1

Eat this: Anything made fresh at White Water Snacks
Do not eat: The overpriced mediocore meals at BB.

Could list more, but trying to comply with OP.:)

EAT THIS: Honey Pot Krispie from Pooh's corner. MY FAV!!

NOT THIS: It's a tie the krab salad sandwich from Cafe Orleans/Mint Julep

Eat this: Clam Chowder bread bowl from that little walk up stand in New Orleans Square on a chilly December night while waiting for fireworks (someone jump in and tell me the name!)...

Not that: Dole Whip Float (yucky frozen yogurt over bad pineapple juice does not make a good treat for anyone!). I normally love frozen yogurt, but this is really, really, BAD fro yo! After reading about the dole whips here I knew I had to try it--and once was enough! Most went into the garbage. None of my kids liked it either.

It's the Royal street Veranda!

Do eat the tostada at Rancho Del Zocala at dusk sitting next to the lattice by BTMR.

Do not eat the Monte Cristo from Blue Bayou - it was a really expensive two bites that made me want to vomit! Bleh!

OK, serious question....is there time to eat all the food I want to eat and rides all the rides......:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am loving all these food tips, but think if I eat all that I'll never be able to move again :)

have so many options, and so little time
Oh well, worse things to be worried about I guess !!

Oddly enough there is! If you plan your days right you'll be able to try a lot. Also my mom and i when we go now we share plates sowe can try multiple things at one restauraunt or go to another one to try something else! :)

I agree with the above poster! If you are going for several days you can squeez a lot in! My delimma is that hubby and I are only going for one day and I have to figure out what treats I want! Usually I am there for 4 days and can have all my favorites! LOL!

Eat this: The Chicken Alfredo at the Plaza
Avoid this: Turkey Legs (there's just something about poultry on bones...)

Okay, I'm going to break the rules, I can't keep it to one of each!

Eat this: benignets at Ralph Brennens in DTD, chicken fusilli pasta at Pizza Port, gumbo at Ralph Brennens, bannana foster french toast at Lilo & Stitch breakfast, creme brulee french toast at Goofy's breakfast, breakfast burrito at Tomorrowland Terrace (I was VERY pleasantly surprised by this one recently), Mango Madness from Schmoozies in DCA

Don't Eat this: benignets in the park (anywhere), gumbo at House of Blues, anything from Award Weiners in DCA

It's so great that there is so much diversity! A lot of the stuff people love, I think is horrible and vice versa! LOL!

Yum: "Cookie Boat" dessert at Blue Bayou! Pommes Frites (garlic fries with yummy dipping sauce) at Cafe Orleans! The fried shrimp po' boy at Jazz Kitchen Express in DTD! One of Chef Oscar's delicious pot pies at Carnation Cafe!

Yuck: Rancho del Zocalo...bad, greasy faux Mexican food.

LOL I knew you were out there somewhere!!!

Thank God we finally found each other. Now we just need to plan a trip to DL to finally meet! LOL

DTD

love rainforest cafe

hate tortilla jo's

It's the Royal street Veranda!

Sarah

Thanks, Sarah! Yes, Roal street Veranda rocks the clam chowder bowls. Perfect on a chilly night while waiting for fireworks to start! I think I liked it better than our much more pricey meal from Blue Bayou from the night before.

Thank God we finally found each other. Now we just need to plan a trip to DL to finally meet! LOL

Well, what are you doing in November?!?! :lmao:

Ok, mine for the day:

EAT THIS: The baked potato soup from Carnation Cafe

NOT THIS: The Outback Veggie skewer from Bengal BBQ.

Eat this: Prime Rib dinner at Blue Bayou...perfect!

Not that: anything at Village Haus...

Went to BB last night, no prime rib dinner (is it seasonal or just d/c?). They had filet mignon, new york steak and some other rock salt steak. Also, didn't see that yummy salmon in the restaurant thread, they had some cajun salmon.

Eat this: Pot Roast at Plaza Inn

Don't eat this!: Apple Pie Caramel Apple (threw it away after 3 bites!)

I am finding it very fascinating that some food listed under folks' EAT THIS recemmendations is ALSO listed under others' DON'T EAT! Very funny, how we all have different tastes!

Anyway, I am still struggling to come up with any DON'T EATs, but I thought of one.

EAT THIS: Chicken fried chicken at Rainforest Cafe - with a Rain Forest Ricky drink on the side!

NOT THIS: the Birthday Cupcakes presented at Goofy's Kitchen. I LOVE GK, but those cupcakes are like dark chocolate lumps that have been sitting in a storage room for a month. Not fresh or yummy at all, as I would expect from food at GK. Even Hostess Cupcakes are better!
