Well tonight was supposed to be a meal from our church but she can't make it today so hot dogs and salad it is.

8 days no eating out and down 23 lbs!:cool1:

This was AMAZING!!!!!! So yummy. I will post the recipe for anyone who wants it.

Crock Pot Breakfast Casserole

1 bag frozen shredded hash browns
1 Roll sausage, browned and drained
1 package of shredded cheddar cheese
12 eggs
1 cup milk
1 tablespoon mustard powder

Place the hash browns, sausage, and cheese into the crock pot and mix well. In a seperate bowl mix together the eggs, milk, and mustard powder. Pour over mixture in crockpot and even out the top. Cook on low for 8-10 hours.

*I used a little less mustard powder, and a little bit more milk.

OOOH, I make this! This is our traditional Christmas breakfast, along with sourdough toast with homemade jellies and some fruit salad. It IS really good!

Dinner tonight:

Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwiches
Chips

The flu has finally hit our house, so no real meal for dinner tonight. We ended up having some soup from the freezer.

No idea about dinner tonight. I just got back from the doctor and I have strep. I am really not in the mood to cook anything.

I haven't been on here in a while, but here is my dinner menu from this week:

Sat- dd15 had 12 teenagers over for a party. We had soft/hard tacos with lots of toppings including rice and corn. Also had fruit salad and cupcakes. Food was a big hit!

Sun. - DD11 had a cheerleading competition so we just had leftovers from the party.

Mon.- Beef ravioli, green beans, breads, salad

Tues.-Baked cod( I put butter and italian breadcrumbs on it), wild rice, tri colored noodles, asparagus

Weds.-Beef stew and french bread

Thurs.- Stuffed peppers( I make mine w/o sauce, they have stewed tomatoes, hamb., rice and cheese in them) veg. and fruit

Friday-pizza?

So glad I found this, I am usually at a loss for dinner and we eat the same things!

Tonight for dinner is Pork chops a la Shake n Bake, mashed potatos, broccoli. For me (I'm vegan) Pasta Fagioli I made for lunch, will eat again for dinner, so good!!

tomorrow it's pizza and the weekend is left overs. Hopefully I will be more exciting next week!!

Wow I havent posted in a while...We were really bad for awhile with eating out~
Our wonderful dog, Winnie, of 15 years got ill about three weeks ago and sadly she lost the battle and passed away shortly thereafter and our family was devestated...
We were all in a funk and would go out to eat just to get out...

But we are recovering things are getting back to normal and we are even bringing a new fur-baby home today!

Sorry to go off topic...Anyway I finally sat down and made a menu the other day and went to our new Bottom Dollar Grocery Store and I loved it!! Great deals on name brands as well as off brands, I will go back for sure!

Tonight- Salsa Chicken in the crock-pot served over rice
Saturday- Baked Salmon and parsely potatoes
Sunday- Shrimp Scampie with Salad
Monday- Taco Night!
Tuesday- Chicken Salads
Wednesday- Fish Sandwiches & Fries
Thursday- Chicken Pot Pie
Friday- Dinner at a friends house?
Saturday- Homemade Strombollies (family & friends over to meet the new fur-baby)
thats as far as I got for now!

Have a great weekend :goodvibes

Sorry I've been MIA hope everyone is well, I was missing partly because I've been busy at work (dont' have a home computer) and also because my DS who is 15 and plays HS Ice Hockey was injured on Wed in a game.. He has a fractured clavicle (collarbone) and a seperated AC joint. No more sports for 6-8 weeks and he gets to wear a sling for at least 2 weeks! We have been eating at home I hope to get back on Monday and post for the week.. Happy Friday everyone..

This sounds like our week! DD6 broke her arm in tumbling, she's been wearing a sling this week, I hope she is getting her cast today, which she'll have for 6 weeks. It's her right arm so it has been very difficult- bathroom, eating, writing at school, etc. Hope your ds has a swift recovery! Missing sports is hard.

Danalee, so sorry about your dog, they really work their way into your
heart:grouphug:. Congrats on the new family member!

Last night was chipoltle chicken tacos & salad. Tonight is baked cod, Mac & cheese & broccoli. The next several meals will be:

Ham & cheese crescents & tomato soup

Creamy chicken & ham, rice, peas

Tator tot hot dish, mixed veggies

Pepperoni pizza poppers, raw veggies

Shrimp linguine, salad

Cheese tortellini, broccoli, garlic bread

We are feeling so much better here so for dinner tonight we are having homemade roasted veggie pizza with salad.
