I’m ready to escape the New England snow. I’m looking at a quick solo trip beginning March 9th. Is there anything going on the week that would affect crowds? Is there a better week? This may be a park-free trip.

Just stick to 1 park if you want to do that… I’d relax as much as possible considering crowding for spring break is starting…

Probably a pretty decent time to go, Spring break crowds don’t start kicking in until like mid-March and gets busier as the month goes along. And you’ll get to see Flower & Garden! I like to read Disney tourist blog’s month crowd run down to get a feel for what to expect crowd wise link to March

Not a big deal if you are going park free, but we went that week in both 2022 and 2024 and it was packed. Hard to even walk around packed. Said we would never do it again. In 2024 the waits were worse that week than the couple weeks after (didn’t keep looking in 2022). It’s my nephews spring break week (Texas). We still had fun, but it was rough.

Someone else just asked about weather. The weather that time of year can be variable. If you are craving warm weather, the odds get better as the month progresses, though it is always a bit of a gamble. On the other hand you might get great weather.

If it is warm you crave, and you aren't planning to hit the parks, consider a visit to southern FL, which tends to be a little bit warmer. There are many fun places to visit beyond WDW. There are many beaches, state parks, the Everglades, etc.

A bonus is that the food is often better quality for a lower price.

Wait, there’s more to Floridan than just Orlando? Kidding! I’ve thought about Key West or something closer to Miami, but ultimately I want to relax and not have to think about anything
