Has anyone used ECT for Hotels? I was trying to identify some of the off the recod ones in the Lake Buena visa area and Maingate areas. I seem to like the challenge of trying to get a good deal. I believe these are able  :cheer2:  :wave2: l to be cancelled up to 72 hours prior to arrival. Thanks if anyone can help me.

Yes, according to BFT, all reservations are cancellable without penalty. Seems like the off the record ones wouldn't be. We have been trying for several months for accommodations in Orlando, but has no had much success yet. We have our last 4 nights booked, but not the first three. I don't know if it is busier than ususal or not. If you have any luck with them, I would be pleased to hear. Thanks for your reply.

I recently booked a trip through ECT.com and so far have had no problem. We did one of their "exclusive deals" which I was able to figure out through their very detailed description. We got a room at the FFI at LBV in the Marriott Village for $49.00 a night. I know one of their exclusive deals was also for the Sheraton Safari for $59.00 a night as well. I called up FFI after we made the reservation and they have us in their system ready to go. We leave this weekend, so I will post if I have any problems over the weekend with our reservations. Not sure of their cancellation policy, I just assumed is was a precharge on the cc.

I would have jumped on the Sheraton safari for $59 a night, but for my dates over Easter it is $119.

I just used them to book Holiday Inn oceanfront for a pre-cruise stay. Sometimes on Biddingfortravel, in the sidelinks they identify the off the record ones. Seems like they have great deals to me, and you can book 2 beds instead of just one which gives me a little piece of mind.

I just booked with ECT today. We needed a hotel near the airport for one night when we fly in very late. I used the link from Bidding For Travel for the Marriott Airport. It was one of the ones where they don't tell you the hotel until after you book. It was the Marriott and I can cancel the reservation if need be up to 72 hours before. With tax it came to $83.01. I could have gotten something cheaper, but the Marriott has 24 hour airport shuttle. As someone else said it is fun trying to find out what hotel is what.

We just returned from our visit and we had no problems with our reservation at the FFI we made through ECT. It was actually very easy because we used one of the exlcusive deals and our room was "pre-paid" so we just dropped off the keys got a $0.00 receipt and left. I will definitely be using them for future travel arrangements, their deals were too good not too.

Also wanted people to know that cancellation is very easy. We decided to stay in the airport area and so I tried Priceline before booking the Marriott airport through Easyclick. I was able to get a winning bid of $55 so called EC to cancel my Holiday Inn oceanfront. Very painless, called the 800#, gave my reservation #, cancelled and was done. :)

How long was it before they credited it back to your account? I canceled around January 4th and they still have not credited my account. I don't think I'll use them again.

Also betterbidding.com have a link to ECT with a drop down of the off the record hotels. They are named and it is possible to identify them completely. You can cross check them quite easily. It is a great site and very friendly. Just found them and they have saved me loads
