Easy Beach to Get to on Grand Cayman

We will be stopping on Grand Cayman on the dream. 4 adults, 4 kids ages 3, 7, 10,14. Any suggestions of an easy beach we could walk to or take a quick taxi to? Something clean and family friendly? Even willing to do a day pass somewhere if not too expensive. I’ve also looked into turtle center, but curious about beaches.

Or should we do excursion G82 7 mile beach with lounge chair? Wondering how tendering works in grand cayman? Will we get off the ship much earlier if we do an excursion? Anyone done g82? Do the just take you to public beach?

We did Seven Mile Beach as a cruise excursion on our first ever cruise. Then we realized that all we paid for was tranfers to a hotel who showed us the way to a very public beach and gave us a chair.
On subsequent visits, we hopped a taxi at the port and asked them to take us to the Marriott. They were very welcoming and showed us the way to the beach. We didn't want to use the hotel's amenities (pools, towels, etc) since we were not hotel guests but we did buy lunch there and my parents bought several drinks at the bar.
We briefly rinsed our feet at the foot rinse device so as to not drag sand back through the lobby as we left. It was a nice day. If you really require a chair & umbrella, I would book as a excursion.

We did the turtle center as a last-minute excursion after our snorkel day was canceled. It was a great day! Highly recommend. We walked to the bus stop by the library and got on the next bus headed to the turtle center. We paid $2 or $3 a person each way. The bust was more of an old Sprinter van than a bus. It filled up fast as we drove along. Purchasing tickets at the turtle center was no problem. Then we enjoyed hours snorkeling and checking out all the turtles on the property. Waited on the street for a bus back and had no problems.
