for breakfast at 8:20. I haven't done any resort to resort ressies in the past so not sure how to go about this. We really want to try Boma's for Breakfast.

Thanks for your help.

I'm guessing that you could take a bus to the Animal Kingdom PARK, then walk over to the Animal Kingdom Lodge stop. If there arent any busses going over to the Lodge, it's close enough to take a cab from there, without it being super expensive.

I believe the easiest and fastest way by far is a taxi, the fare should be approx $20-$25, and should take 10-15 minutes.
I do not believe you can walk from the AK bus stop to the Lodge, and even if you could it would be about a mile walk. There are not many sidewalks or pathway along roadways in WDW.
Becuase of the distance there probably is a bus from AK to AKL, but I'm not sure of that, someone will know.

I'm a huge supporter of using Disney transport whenever possible, but for resort-to-resort trips early in the morning I strongly recommend just using a cab. You will be able to get a bus to a park, but there are very few--if any--buses going back to the resorts at that time. You might find a bus that happened to be going to AKL from a park, but it would be pure chance.

Ok, so looks like a cab. We haven't really done cabs before, so do we need cash?

Also, I know we can take the boat from POFQ and be in DTD in about 20-25 min. When do the buses start/end run from DTD? I assume there won't be any buses going to resorts at the time we would need, but if we need to go someplace else later in the day would that be our best bet?

Also, once we are are done with breakfast at Boma, we can just hop a bus to AK and get on a bus back to POFQ right?

I love Disney Transportation, and want to use it as much as possible.

Thanks again!

The boats don't start running until 10:00AM so that won't help for breakfast.

Yes, or to any other park for that matter.

We did this same reservation 2 years ago and ended up taking the bus to AK then a bus to the lodge just give yourself plenty of time.

The easiest way is by taxi.

There should be "character buses" in the early morning in addition to park buses, boarding at the resorts. Be out at the platform 75 to 90 minutes before breakfast. Ask the concierge about which bus to take, or ask the driver if he is going in the direction of Animal Kingdom Lodge.

If you did go to a park, when you get there, find a transportation supervisor who should be in the vicinity of the bus platforms and who should be able to direct you to a bus going to the resort (Animal Kingdom Lodge, here).

The boat ride from POFQ may only be 20-25 min. but also allow time waiting for the boat which could be another 20-25 min. if you just missed it, and then another 10-15min. to walk from the boat dock to the bus stop depending on which stop you get off at, and maybe another 20 min. waiting for the bus to where you want to go.
And then do it all over again getting back to POFQ.
It think it would be faster just taking the bus to DTD and transferring to your destination resort.

You can definitely take the bus to AK, and catch a bus from there to AKL. There are plenty of buses running from AK to AKL at that time of the morning.

70 minutes should be safe; you'll probably make it in under an hour.

If you elect to take a taxi, all of the taxis at the resorts are run by Mears, and they do accept credit cards.

(skelooch: I had to reread Glendamax's post, too, but if you read it carefully, it's saying to walk to the AKL bus stop at AK, not to the Lodge.)

You are 100% right, I missed the word "stop", good catch, thanks

Boma is a popular breakfast and there are many buses running from AK to AKL early in the morning to get folks to breakfast there.

Ask your driver, he/she may be able to drop you at AKL after going to AK.

The buses will start at 7:00 am to AK.

Ya know, I think since it is just my and Dh this trip, we will go ahead and try to do it by bus. We'll see how late we are out the night before and decide for sure once we are there.

Thanks for all the info.
