For those of you that have traveled from WDW to Ft. Lauderdale, what do you recommend for the easiest/quickest route? I'll be leaving from CSR and going to the Ft. Lauderdale Aquatic Complex. I've done a Mapquest search, but those directions aren't always the best or quickest. Thanks for your help and recommendations!

I'd take the Osceola Parkway to the Florida Turnpike, then the Turnpike South.

I normally switch for the Turnpike to I-95 at Jupiter. The roads are only blocks from each other there, after that, the Turnpike swings way west....

Is the Florida Aquatic Center the one in Boca Raton, or Fort Lauderdale, with the Swimming Pool Hall of Fame?

Thanks. That sounds like the route Mapquest suggests. It mentions a travel time of 3 hrs, 20 mins. I thought it might be shorter.

It is the Fort Lauderdale Aquatic Complex that I'll be going to. My son qualified for Y Nationals this year! :)

Congrats to your son!!! Growing up in Boca, it usually took between 3 and 4 hours to Disney(of course alot of that was in traffic on 192 back then). With Fort Lauderdale being further south the mapquest time sounds good maybe even not long enough to account for traffic. As for changing from the Turnpike to I-95, that is a personal choice, the Turnpike will have tolls, but generally less traffic(and fewer exits), I-95 has no tolls but more traffic and more choices of exits.

No, that's about the right time. Be sure to avoid the West Palm Beach area and the Fort Lauderdale Area at rush hour, between like 4:30 and 6:30 p.m.

I would suggest staying on the turnpike all the way to Ft Lauderdale. The traffic on I-95 in the West Palm area is rediculous and the amount of $ you will save by getting off is only $4 difference and trust me time wise and sanity wise stay on the turnpike.
