Easiest route to Fl from central Ma??

Hi all. DS is going to Florida the end of this month and is driving. He's hesitant to do I-95 all the way. Doesn't like the congestion in the bigger cities. So, what would the best route to go?? Time isn't an issue...planning on taking 3 days to do it. Thanks for any and all advice here.

You might want to drive into NY and take I-81 south toward VA. From there you can head toward Columbia, SC (I think it's I-74?) and then get on 95. Go onto Mapquest and play around a litle bit; it should give you some ideas.

We drive from Maine and do 84-81-77-26-95. Miss all the big cities and come back on to 95 in South Carolina. Less stressful and a lot more scenic. Check the "For those folks driving" thread in this forum for lots of expert advice.

Another vote for 84-81-77-26-95. Scenery is great, pleasant drive, no Baltimore, Washington traffic.
