The more I read, I'm afraid that POR is not the right resort for our Nov 29-Dec 5 trip. We are traveling with our DS 3- and 20 yr old babysistter (friend)- I'm afraid the POR might be boring for our little one and not "Disney" enough

Would CSR or PORFQ be better? We've stayed (before DS) at PORFQ and liked it, but I thought POR looked amazing.

We were at POR in August with my DH, DD9, DD6 and DS2--and they loved the resort. They loved the pool with the big slide and even loved the food court. Each morning we would eat breakfast there. When we were finished the kids would color disney pictures (provided near the tv in the eating area), build with blocks (also near the tv in the eating area) or watch Disney on the tube while we finished eating. They loved watching people feed the birds and loved trying to catch lizards!

I don't think you have anything to worry about!

You will also have access to the pool at POFQ in case the POR pool isn't enough! My DS was 3 1/2 when we stayed there and he loved it. The playground, pools (there are at least 5) and boat rentals would have occupied him for the whole vacation!

We are staying there during the same time, my kiddos are older dd 8, ds 6 but I'm banking that they will have fun. Enjoy!!

My kids are 18mths,3,5,7,11 & 14 and they all loved POR! You'll have a wonderful time there.

I'm still a kid and ive been going to POR since i was 6 years old. I love the resort! It's awesome!

We stayed at POR with our DD last year (18 months old at the time) and she loved it. We especially love the boatride to DTD. We will be staying at POR again this November. DD will be 2 1/2 by then. I'm sure your family will love POR.

Have a great trip.

Stayed at POR last year, it's fine. I think kids need a big of a break anyway from all the "stuff"...like at the All-stars it is all so in your face you never get a break, it gets a bit overwhelming. POR was quiet when we went a nice departure from the music, sounds, bright colors they had seen all day... but still very neat, the huge water wheel in the dining hall kept my boys entertained through meals.

We first stayed at POR when our children were 4, 6, and 8. All three of them and my DH and I LOVED POR. We thought it was wonderful. We had read some of those reviews that different sites have and were worried about some of things people had written ... but what a wonderful time we had. The grounds are beautiful. The POOL was fantastic and we enjoyed the walking, the food court, and the arcade. It never felt like it was crowded at all, even though I am sure there were other people around! You'll enjoy it! :bounce:

It's not super "Disney" in the way that somewhere like ASMo would be.
But we loved it. The best way I can describe it is relaxing and refreshing. We stayed off-site for the first half of our trip last year and when we parked and walked to our room at POR, it felt so nice. The grounds are really beautiful. The boat ride to DTD was a lot of fun also.

We just returned from 10 days at POR. It was very pretty & comfortable. My kids loved the pool, the surrey bike ride, & the boat to DTD. The grounds are lovely. There is a lot of variety at the food court.

The buses were very crowded & sometimes we had to wait a long time to get on one but last week was crowded so maybe that's why but people (including my kids) were getting very cranky.

Our family loved staying at POR. The kids (7,6 and 2) liked it as well as the adults. Have fun!
