Early Roll Call For January 29, 2005 western....Anyone Out There?

it's 14 right now. they say we might get a foot of snow on saturday. a little early for me to expect them to be right but??

as far as the weather checks go...like to do the warm weather dance ...so i have to watch.

i hate the week or so before we go away. along with the .."what will the weather do? will we get delayed or stuck at the airport".....i have animals to shuffle around to different places before we go. getting a horse trailer out in the snow can be pretty nerve racking! cant wait until the 28th when we are on our way to the airport and all that is done!!

NJDRUM.....Jersey is COLD TODAY!!!! I swear I better get out of here next Thursday morning without delay or I will just cry. Glad you got your docs....hope you enjoy your location......

Will be at the DIS board meet at 430 in sessions on Monday. Look forward to meeting everyone.

Anyone with older teens....my son and his gf are 17 but are very friendly and love hanging around......

8 days til I fly out of this COLD COLD place....and head towards the tropics.....bye for now :earboy2:

Well, balmy Charlotte, NC is in a cold snap! 12 degrees this AM-- that's really tough for down here. Now, I grew up outside Detroit and spent 14+ years in Connecticut, so I am no stranger to cold weather. But I've been spoiled the last 7 years in Charlotte! But that's okay--- I'll just enjoy the tropical breezes that much more!

Reporting from Washington DC (yes we had 70 degrees last week)...it is -3 degrees at Dulles airport.

I hope we do not get a foot of snow here......they are saying an 1" tomorrow...but DC starts shutting all of the streets down today for Thursday and tomorrow most all of the streets will be closed through 11pm Thursday.

This is how "whimpy" we are here in the Nation's Capital....school was two hours late because of the cold! They were afraid the school buses would not start after the three day weekend. My DS15 was thrilled as he usually leaves for school at 6am.

It is -23' C here in Waterloo, Ontario. Looks like it is going ro be -10' or lower all week. :guilty:

Finnally received our DOCS yesterday. Some how it feel so much more final. DD turns 4 on this Saturday and our DS turn 2 on Monday they are getting very excited about going on the Mickey boat.

Has any one done the Dolphin Discovery??? Is it good to take our DD on that excursion.

Looks so awesome that they are so many kids around 4-6. Were on deck 8 under the mickey pool. Any one have a DD who is around 7 or 8 who might like to write to my Neice 7 3/4. She will be on the cruise with us and would be more comfortable if she met some one before.
Thanks,
:boat:

larillion,

Gretchen (DD8) and Rachel (She is a friend we made on the Disboards) have been writing each other. So, I am sure they would love to have your neice join in. I will send you a PM.

I have never done Dolphin on Disney, but I have on other cruise lines and I loved it! I have scheduled to take my girls (DD11 and DD8) I think at 12:30...but not positive about that. This excursion usually sells out, you get in a small tank, your girls are young so you would have to get in with them, and the dolphins swim around and play with you...it really is a neat experience.

yep toopure...do ya believe it snowed yesterday?? snow touched the ground...school would have been cancelled...if they hadn't had the day off anyway.

Well here it is, 4 days until WDW (week before the cruise).

Current Temp: Fort Collins, CO 57
Current Temp: Orlando, FL 58

What is going on?!?!?!? :confused3

We've been in the 70's all week and its supposed to last through the weekend. We lived in NJ, PA and don't miss the winters at all and lived through the ice storm in Charlotte back in 2002. Sunny Cal is the place to be in the winter for us :cool1:

Only 10 days til we leave :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: I'm ready to do the single digit dance :jumping1:

Picked up some pirate: hats and patches for Jim and Megan at our local party shop for $5.00 total! my suitcases are getting pretty full of lots of pixie dust :wizard: but really want our trip to be special.

See everyone soon.

Lisa

I havent even started packing :scared1:

I work two jobs and cant get up enough energy to get moving. My sons gf said to me....just think....in 2 1/2 weeks...it will all be over!!!!!!!! OMG I wanted to KILL her. As long as we have waited for this to come and she had to say that?????? :earseek:

Anyway....better get started on my packing.....

NJDrum.....I am just frozen!!!!!!!!!!!!! This weather is for the birds....and now they say a BIG snow storm this coming weekend....... As long as it is gone by Thursday it can do whatever it wants.....

Tracy

tracy,

someone told me it is suppose to be up to 40 next week so any snow we get should be gone. glad it is coming this weekend. pulling my kid outta school for 7 days makes me feel guilty enough(until i think of the money i save by NOT going at spring break) let alone having a snow day before we leave.

you'll get it all done. i don't know about you but i won't be sleeping the night before we leave so i'll finish packing then.

as far as the gf goes..she's young..it's an excuse

I woke up to winter wonder land... Dreading having to go outside a shovel 4" of snow that fell last night. Maybe I'll take the kids out to play while I shovel :guilty:

Leaving for Flordia in one week today!!!!!!!!!! Looking forward to green grass and flowers. :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc

Any young girls that are going to be in the Oceaners Lab 6-8 years????

Disneylover5 I sent all your information to my brother so I hope he will get Jade to e-mail Gretchen soon. I made a mistake about her age though she is only turning 7 this Febuary not 8.

Hope everyone has a sunny day...If not in reality...then just in your imagination.

It's getting so close I can almost taste the Mickey Bars! I've truly gone over the edge though-- I bought Mickey and Pooh chapstick last night for Aeris and Brosnan! I think all my special suprises and prep is costing more than the actual cruise!! (Did I mention the portable dual-screen DVD player for the drive down to FL??)

MamaCrush,
We are just as bad as you (if it makes you feel any better). We are driving 2 cars down...the big truck has a DVD player built in...but Santa brought 2 portable DVD for my Station Wagon......not 1....2....oh my.

How many of us are planning to make magnetic door signs for our cabin?? If all goes well, I will be and I'd love to see what everyone else comes up with as I stroll down the halls of the Magic. :boat:

We have our door sign made already.
I have everything ready to pack, just waiting to be put into the suitcases.
