Early Roll Call For January 29, 2005 western....Anyone Out There?

We booked Palo for dinner on Monday night and brunch on Thursday. (I think brunch is only available on the two at sea days...)

We are also doing the massage on Monday morning.

Hi all! Hi DisneyLover! I just figured out the "avatar". What is the skunk's name from Bambi - ah "Flower", just came to me. OK, so maybe not the perfect fit for me but cute anyhow. If I knew what I was doing, there would be something "Hawaii" there (my dream trip). But Flower will do for now.

Getting excited about the trip (1st Disney cruise), but it's going to be here so fast with all the holidays in between. Already worried about being depressed once it's over.

Got a 9 YO girl and 7 YO boy going, thinking of talking to counselors about placing DS in Lab w/DD. DisneyLover--my DD has been telling everyone about her new friends. (Thanks for desktop pic.)

Can't wait to just lay in the sun and take it all in!!!!

I have learned after cruise depression is solved by only one thing, that is re-booking while on board.....even if you end up cancelling is gets you through that first month back. You do need a deposit for each cruiser......re-booking does give you a 10% discount and $200 onboard credit!

disneylover5- I know what your saying! Last night as a matter of fact, my husband and I were trying to figure out which week to rebook in 2006 while onboard. He was as sad, if not MORE depressed than the rest of us when it was time to leave. He said that rebooking made it a little easier.Plus, the perks help:) .

Mamacrush-I went on "tropical" night. We figured that we were tropical every other day and night:) . We also went on the night that we would have eaten at AP a second night. We will most likely do the same this time.

We are getting very antsy to go.......................STAY HEALTHY!!!

Is anyone staying at the "World" after the cruise? we will be at the Pop Century 2/5 - 2/12.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!:wave2:

Lisa :earsgirl:

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

We have already booked a cruise for 1-21-06 - eastern. So there will be very little post cruise depression when we got off. We will check the prices while we are on board & if we can get a better deal we will cancel & re-book.

MOMMY2MRB- WE WILL BESTAYING AT ROYAL PACIFIC AT UNIVERSAL FOR 3 DAYS POST CRUISE. PRE-CRUISE WE WILL BE AT RON JONS AT THE PORT FOR 2 NIGHTS. KIND OF WEIRD NIT VISITING THE "WORLD", BUT WE WERE JUST THERE IN JULY/AUGUST FOR 8 DAYS AND WE WERE ON THE DCL MAGIC-WDW LAST JAN, SO DH WANTED TO "MIX IT UP". NO BIGGIE... YEAH RIGHT! I'LL BE A LITTLE WEIRDED OUT, BUT WE ARE GOING TO DISNEYLAND AND CAALIFORNIA ADVENTURE AT EASTER, SO I'LL LIVE.
4NITZ, WE'LL BE SAILING WITH YOU A 3RD TIME........THAT WILL MOST LIKELY BE THE WEEK THAT WE HAVE TO CHOOSE.I WISH THAT THEY WOULD SWITCH SOME PORTS OF CALL TO SOMETHING NEW. IF NOT, I'M STILL BLESSED TO GO ON DCL..............::MinnieMo --MARIA

HAPPY THANKSGIVING, ALL!!!!:grouphug:

SORRY THIS IN IN CAPS!

Mariamard

We live about 50 miles from Disney land, we will have to try and get together when you come out at Easter.

I don't think we will be booking another cruise, hopefully buying a new house next year, so that will take a HUGE priority on our spending.

Lisa

Is it January yet?????????? Anyone with 17 year olds kids???? Hurry up Christmas, hurry up New Years....hurry up January 26th!!!!!!! :boat:

Matt will be 16 1/2 when we cruise. Daniel and Michael will be 15 1/2. The other ones are little. These boys play basketball (this is our 3rd cruise all together on DCL), lay by the pool and watch sports the entire trip.

We did go snorkling last time and the fishing trip on Castaway Cay was fabulous! We will go fishing again!

Lisa

disneylover5...when in January did you last sail....I was on the Jan 10th Eastern. Just wondering if our kids already know each other....would be something huh? lol

We are getting closer!!! I just bought new luggage-if anyone needs luggage chech outWWW.JCPENNY.COM. Awesome deals on bags.
mommy2mrb-we will have to meet in Cali!! I'm so excited to see Califonia Adventure. I have heard nothing but positive! :earboy2: We will be staying at either Disney Paradise Pier or Disneyland Hotel. Have you heard about either????
Everyone--how about a Dis meet on sunday afternoon with some refreshments??

Whoohoo only 60 days until we leave :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Cal Adventure is a lot of fun, quiet different from MK, more shows (Aladdin is GREAT) and rides for older kids, but has Bugs Land with 5-6 rides for little ones, ferris wheel, carousel, great roller coasters too. Its very easy to do in one day. The old Electric Light Parade is also there at night for any of the old timers, brought back a lot of memories for me from my first Disneyland trip in 1975.

I haven't stayed in either hotel, but both at very nice. Disneyland hotel is the original so much older, (Goofy's Kitchen has fun character meals) and Paradise Pier has Minnie and Friends breakfast. both within walking distance of the parks and downtown Disney. It is much more congested than the world since its smack dab in the middle of Anaheim, so staying on property is a good option. You are also within 1 hour of Universal Studios, 20 minutes of Knotts Berry Farm and about 1 1/2 hours from Legoland.

PM me if you'd like more info on Disneyland and surrounding areas, we hope to go this Saturday, Megan has been working very hard on stopping her thumb sucking and we are going to celebrate that and get a little "Christmas Mouse Magic".

The Sunday DIS meet would be great!!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!!

Pixie Dust to all!!

Lisa :wizard:

Just spent yesterday at Disneyland and Mickey said to tell everyone hi!! He is very excited to hear we will be going on the cruise with him, sent a special hello to Owen, Ciara, Brosnan, Aeris, Makenna, Alaina, Jack and Joe. Megan had a wonderful time and was given a special hug to share with all the kids and Mickey was so proud that Megan had stopped sucking her thumb :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

We took the Discover the Magic Tour (I think they are running it in WDW also) it was a fun tour, if anyone wants more info PM me.

Now that we got a little bit of Mickey "magic" we REALLY want to go to WDW and the cruise.

Mariamard sending you a PM.

Lisa
