I have my fingers crossed that CC has survived Frances. CC is the main stop that I have had my heart set on for this cruise. From my calculations, Frances was with in 20 miles, if not a direct hit on CC.

I have been working on the October newsletter and it is taking shape. personally, I think it looks and sounds great, but its still a work in progress. I have received pics from 7 of us (not including stephie and I) and am putting together a nice presentation using microsoft power point. I have assumed nothing about the computer expertise of our group and have endeavored to make it as simple as possible. If we all participate in this, I should receive approx. 7 more pics and I would ask those who havent sent them to do so now. my second questioin is this. is there anyone who doesnt have microsoft power point ? even if you dont have the program, a free power point reader can be downloaded from the microsoft website that would open and play the newsletter and I would be happy to email anyone who needs it the microsoft download page for this power point reader. if you have the power point program on your computer, then you are all set. hope everyone had a great labor day weekend and lets pray for the victims of those hurricanes. lets also pray Ivan misses the U.S. and gives floridians a much needed break. I mailed in our applications for absentee ballots today. Just thought I'd mention it in case someone didn't realize that we'd all be cruising on election day.

I am soooo exctied

I just figured out how to make door signs for everyone and they are so cute!! They have this whole Disney Halloween theme to them.

The only wording I was going to have on them is:

Braun Family (or insert your family last name of course)
Cary, NC

or should I put everyone's first names? I'm hesitant to do that since everyone on board will see who is in that cabin and they could call our children by name which would make them think that person knows them. Am I being paranoid?

Let me know what you all think.

Kellie, are you still willing to hang all of these for me? It shouldn't take long. I'm going to have them laminated and then bring "glue buttons" to quickly attach them to the doors. We had an event today at school in which we used these glue buttons and they are awesome.

crazy countdown counters (is that an alliteration, I think it is!) are driving me mad. what is the deal with this. here we are waiting for them to reach 1 or 0 and now they are going the wrong way !! eh, actually they are going the right way but have added 60 days to the countdown target. does anyone one know what is wrong with them. what disturbs me is that it seems to be only the ones on this thread. I also discovered on one of the other threads that the wonder will go into dry dock 2 weeks before our cruise (Oct 12 th I believe) and will undergo some renovations. they are removing the espn skybox that I loved so much. it was the perfect escape. I was sooo hoping to have it for one more cruise. anyway, they will also be adding some somethings. the dueling piano bar will become a bar like diversions on the magic. a sprawling pub with tvs all over, tables and booths. ah well, paradise awaits.

While we have not been on a Disney cruise, I was looking forward to the ESPN skybox as an escape as well!

By the way, I posted on the dry dock thread for "tlrotzoll" to join in on our discussions. "tlrotzoll" is from Williamsburg, VA and indicates that he/she will be on the 10/31 Wonder with 2 DS.

Hi all! Thank you Bauerbandt (forgive me, I hope I spelled it right! I was trying to go with my memory and should have known better. My memory is awful!) for recommending me to this site. You have all done so much work on this. It is great.

I, along with my DH, DS - 6, DS - 9; DS and her DH, DD - 3, DS - 6; my mom and her DB will be on the Oct 31 cruise. This will be our first cruise ever and our very first time to WDW - POR after the cruise.

I will talk with my sister this afternoon and ask her about the TOT, and if it's not too late, we will sign up. I'll let you know by tomorrow afternoon at the very latest.

I look forward to the anticipation with all of you!

By the way, I have a silly question. What does "bump" mean?

Hey everyone:

Three weeks ago my operating system completely died and luckily my husband was able to salvage my cruise file but I lost everyones email information so I have no addresses.

What I need from all of you is to send me a pm or personal email to marley@nc.rr.com and give me the last name for each stateroom. I'm going to start working on the signs. Also, just a reminder to Pammy Jo/John, Melvin/Traci, Kelli/Tony that when you get your staterooms numbers in your documents, I'll need them for the TOT.

Also, the other thing lost was who is pen pals with who? If your child is participating in the program, please send me who their partner is. Some have multiples, someone else I recall still needs one and it looks like I have finally found someone so please send me that information.

Also, to John/Lise and Bauerbandt, Hayley can't email the girls because I have lost your email addresses. Please tell them she hasn't forgotten about them. Her mommy has just been having major computer issues but they are almost fixed. Thanks for their patience.

tlrotzoll, Welcome aboard! Ralph is the real 'bump' expert here, but I think it is a way of moving our thread back to the top/start of the 'cruise meets' board without really writing anything in particular: It just makes it easier to find the thread.

hey guys, i just got off the phone with Debbie and she said that we will start boarding the ship at 12:30 and then go eat lunch. BUT we wont be able to go to our staterooms until 1:00 or 1:30!! is this going to be enough time since the TOT starts at 2:15 and our meet starts at 3:00 ??? I sure hope these kids can run, LOL! we havent done a cruise yet so i dont have any idea

If I remember correctly, the meet was cancelled for that Friday (although we could all still plan to meet informally after the TOT is finished and before the drill starts). On my last cruise, we were on the ship by noon. They tend to board early.

Let's plan to all meet up for the TOT at 2:30 instead. That should give everyone plenty of time to eat, run by their stateroom and get their reservations in. We might have to split up into two groups since we are at about 25 children now. I'll have to figure out the logistics in the next two weeks and let everyone know. I would like to have it finished as quickly as possible so everyone can go out and enjoy the ship and not be stuck in their rooms waiting for the kids. Those of you who don't have children, we will definitely hit your rooms first!

As the time gets closer, I am going to call DCL and try to figure out when their TOT is. If it is that afternoon (and I doubt it), we will have to come up with a whole other plan
