Early Roll Call for 10-31-04 Happy Halloween Cruise aboard the Wonder !!

thanks Ginger for the advice

Just wondering in your three other cruises, if you have ever had your actual sail date begin on October 31st. I've read on your thread they usually start the Disney TOT at 2 pm but figured they wouldn't hold a TOT until at least after we sailed away since some people board later.

I'm also wondering since we sail away on Halloween, if the rest of the cruise they will offer anything else Halloween related or if it will just be on the actual day

Marley

Hi everyone!

First, I want to thank everybody who responded to my dilema about TOTing! Thanks! Barb...I will take you up on your offer if you are sure you don't mind! It makes most sense for you to do it since you are right across the hall from us! Thanks, again!

My son is going to be a "Pirate of the Carribean"(kind of appropriate!...guess he won't know just how appropriate until we actually get to the Wonder on Halloween!) It is soooo hard keeping it from him...I have almost slipped many times! Oh well...we've come this far...not going to blow it now! He is very excited just knowing we're going to Orlando and MNSSHP!! I think I am as excited as he is! I let DH and DS know just about every day what the countdown is! Let's all keep our fingers crossed that those nasty hurricanes/tropical storms are GONE when we get down there!

Can't remember when Ralph said the Newsletter would be out...anxious to see/read it! Anybody remember?

Talk to you all soon!

shana,

i think ralph said it would be out on oct 1;)

also,

disneystore.com has a great sale going on and you can save an additional 20% with the code SAVE20NOW.

no problem Shana. DH says he is more than happy to sample-- oops--hand out your treats.

Enjoy the time you are able to spend with your son.

I don't know how you can keep it from Logan. I give you LOTS of credit for doing so.

Hey everyone! Our cruise will be here before you know it now! We are getting very excited here since we started this whole thing over 730 days ago!!!

I need everyones opinions on the door signs. I have them made up and ready for printing (if I EVER get my computer back) and they are very cute. They have a background of Mickey and Minnie trick or treating and a cruise logo and flag on them. I was going to do them two to a page to save ink so they are a little smaller, but still very noticeable.

Here is the big quesiton. I was originally going to do them on card stock and besides the color ink, they wouldn't cost me very much. However, I was reading on the boards that everyone prints them on this great magnetic paper so they stay nicely on the cabin doors and then they are a nice souvenir to have. I was determined this was the way to go until I went to purchase this magnetic paper. Even giving everyone a half page sign is going to cost me $23 just for the paper. It is $10.99 just for 5 sheets!!!

I am happy to still make these, and hope I don't sound horribly cheap, but would everyone mind paying a $1 for their sign when we meet up for the TOT to help off set the cost? Or, if everyone would rather have the card stock sign, I can do that as well. I may end up having to do that any ways if this magnetic paper won't go through the printer but I thought I would at least ask what everyones opinion is.

Marley

Marley,

I dont think that $1 is going to break anyone!! I dont think you sound cheap :rolleyes:LOL. i personally think the signs would be better on magnetic paper because they would last longer. these would make great souvenirs!!

do you want us to send you a check or give you disney dollars???;) ;)

ps,

would you please email me list of names with the staterooms?? we are getting everything we need for this trip and starting to pack. it is going to get pretty crazy for us this next month! i just dont want that list to get lost.

ttfn, Kellie

Kellie:

thanks! A dollar on board would be fine. More spending cash Disney will get from me onboardpirate:

As for the list, as soon as these ***###@@@ nice people finish with my computer, I am going to post our FINAL list so hopefully that will be by the weekend. My list is on my hard drive and now all I need to do is add everyones sign names to the list as well so everyone gives the thumbs up before I print.

As for handing out the door signs, I also thought I'd mention that I will probably be the only grown adult in a black poodle skirt standing in the boarding line if anyone wants to save Kellie the walking time and grab your sign while I am just hanging out in the port. Or you are also just welcome to come up and say hi! We are hoping we will have somewhere to stay now the night before the cruise. Ron Jons gave me a very evasive answer this morning as to whether they will be up and running again by the end of October due to the hurricane damage. Ugghhh, another thing to think about :)

Marley

Marley,
A dollar is fine with me! I can't wait to have a sign on my door! I think it will help my boys find their way too HA HA! We plan on being there EARLY, so I will look for the black poodle skirt! Can't wait to meet you! (and everyone else).

Marley-
One dollar certainly won't make much difference after we have spent thousands on our vacation/cruise!! Of course I would be happy to part with $1.00!! It is so nice of you to make the signs for us!! Thanks again!!

It's me again! I'm happy to report my computer is back home safely and should definitely be up and running by this weekend so that I should be able to send out "the list".

I would also like to say yesterday someone went out of their way to leave a not so nice note on my car. It is on those days I wonder what the human race is coming to and I also think that people have entirely too much time on their hands to be negative instead of positive. My faith in human kind was restored today when a wonderful person on our thread sent me a very nice note and is generously donating all of the magnetic paper for our group. So save your dollar!!

It has been a pleasure sharing this cruise experience with everyone and I'm counting the days until I get to meet all of you.

Marley

Good evening everybody,

The October newsletter has been tweaked, configured, touched up several times. and is now nearly completed. 12 families have submitted pics that are now part of the newsletter. as mentioned earlier, this newsletter has been created in power point. it has music, pictures text and other stuff. I am a little concerned that the newsletter is a very big file. It is now 12MB in size which is very large for an email. I am going to send it out as an attachment in 8 days and if anyone is unable to open it because of its size, I will delete all of the music clips it contains and that should make it alot smaller. I would rather not do this unless it is there is no other way for you to view it. the music, is that important, it will stir an emotion or set a mood, which is a good thing, I think. If anyone on this thread has not submitted a picture and would like to be included in this newsletter, please send it now without further delay to acrucifer@aol.com thank you and have a pleasant tommorrow. Ralph

thank you so much to whom ever came up with all the money for the magnetic paper!! and a BIG thanks to Marley for making them!! :smooth:

Ralph,

I think the newsletter is going to be very cool and thanks for all of your hard work! BUT there is no way i will be able to recieve an email that big!! would there be anyway to make it into a web page that everyone could enjoy?? and then maybe just either post the link or email the address if you dont want just anyone looking at you. :p if you dont know how to make a free web page i could ask a friend of ours for instructions ( he is a web page designer!! )

I haven't been on the board in a while and saw that you needed room #'s. The Fussell Family (Tony, Kelli, Haden, Madison and Wakeman) we are in 6570.

I can't thank you enough for all the organization you've done. I really appreciate it.

My husband and I were in Orlando last week and just being there has gotten us very excited.

Thanks again!

I was all set to let you know that the $1.00 toward magnetic paper would be no problem when I read that someone generously donated all the paper. Thanks to whomever that was

thanks to Kelli and Joanne for the updated information. I have been editing my cruise list on the thread as people send me their updates so before everyone leaves for FL, make sure you print out the page above since it should be completely accurate before we all leave.

Marley

Thank you Marley. I, too, was all set to say, "no sweat" for the $1.00. Thank you to whoever donated this. This is going to be such an incredible cruise, and we really appreciate all your hard work with it.

Ralph, sorry we didn't get a picture to you. Our camera broke. Anyway, I have been so slammed with . . . life (ha! aren't we all!) and haven't been able to get online and figure out how to download another. Anyway, I look forward to the newsletter and seeing everyone.

Not long now, everyone!

Tammy
