Early November Travelers! For those arriving Nov 1 ~ Nov. 17

Good morning all! I just printed up last year's MVMCP map from here on DisBoards, and was wondering something. Not counting the Seven Dwarfs meet in Frontierland, there were 11 other meet/greets during the party in 2011. Assuming the expanded Fantasy Land will have it's walls down where people can at least walk by attractions in early November, do you think there will be meet/greets in that area (mainly Princesses I assume)?

Also, does anyone have a list or know what Meet/Greets took place during 2011's MVMCP? The map just shows where, not who.

The princess meet and greet area is not supposed to be done until 2013, so I would imagine that they will still be at the front of the park at Town Square. As for character info, this may have some helpful info...

ETA: The princess meet and greet area is scheduled for LATE 2013, so they may not even be there for next year's parties if there is a delay.

We don't even know if anything will be open in the new Fantasyland for parties. When the first party is held, it won't be open yet. And they have already said they are not decorating for the holidays in that area. And we know that Be Our Guest won't be open during the parties. So to be honest, as much as I would LOVE to see them move Belle and the Beast back there somewhere, I'm not holding my breath. I think we'll still see the princesses with their princes at Town Square Theater. As much as I despise the way that crowds up Main Street with more traffic, they have the option of moving the line twice as fast in that venue, if you know what I mean. They don't always USE it, but they have the option.

the only meet and greet I can remember was in 2010, and it was at the stroller parking area next to the old Skyway, past IASW...they had the 7 Dwarfs mining camp and all 7 Dwarfs where there!! Also, outside of Cosmic Rays sort of on the backside, we saw Rapunzel and Flynn Rider...

Those have both moved since then. The Dwarfs are over by the Splash exit and Rapunzel and Flynn are in Town Square Theater.

True, but I have to think we will see at least the walls down since the soft opening is on November 19th, and they will be doing test openings for at least 2-3 weeks before hand (APs primarily). Unless they walk the APs through the walls' gates.

I'm guessing the walls will be down, but nothing open. But my big dream is that since they chose not to have BOG open during the party, maybe they'd move Belle and the Beast in there for their meet & greet. A girl can dream, right?

Oh, I hope that is true! I *almost* regret doing the cruise since there is a better chance I'd be able to see it Nov 3-10th than the week prior. Its a nice consolation prize though for sure!

Good morning ! Our trips seem to be coming up very soon, is anyone getting a nervous feeling in their stomachs like I am ?! I have pretty much everything all set, just a few jiggly wiggly bits left to iron out.

I have a preferred pool view at Pop that turned out to be more expensive than it lists on the Groovy Pop thread here on the Dis. I am either going to change that back to standard or choose a regular preferred room just to make sure I'm not back in the boonies. I can't decide which but I know I don't want to pay over 150 dollars for the preferred pool view, as awesome as that would be to be right there over the Hippy Dippy .

It looks like I will be at park opening (hopefully) at MK on the 19th! Anyone else? I have to see, if I have a chance, Fantasyland although I know I'll be exhausted as I've got the MK until 1am the night before and I think 11pm the night before that ! I'll be doing some park hopping but I want to see the shows, and experience the tingly night time ambiance. Probably not a good idea though, but that's what I've planned !

Kinda sad about the Memoires and You show leaving, although I did get to see it at Disneyland on the It's a Small World facade. Which was lovely but I think it would have been even more breathtaking on the castle. Oh well, hopefully this new show will be just as sweet , I'm sure it will be!

I keep hearing that Trails End has gone downhill but still how great Kona is... so I would probably keep it as is! But then I am a sucker for tropical theming too...!!

I love fried chicken and can never get it, so much so that I plan to order the Mamma's chicken dinner at Pop when I arrive lol! No idea if it's as good at Trails End as it was one year at Pop though. I adore the chicken wings at Kona so, ooh maybe I should keep that then? I'm happy with all my other ADR's so that's something at least!

Well, that is based mostly on this thread... I had been thinking of trying it too but then decided maybe another day. Well that is good to know but also to bad! I am otherwise looking forward to the appetizers at Kona but not so much the entrees. I need a fun new place to try, but not to far away because I plan on being at MK until late. Well that is the plan anyway although normally I don,t have any energy lol!
