Early entry strategy?

We are planning to do early entry at HS and MK, just the 30 minutes prior in December. I see the list of rides that are usually open. Has anyone noticed if Tower of Tower or Rock and Roll often have delay opening so if we show up, it is not open yet? Also, how about Rise? I would hate to walk over using my time to find it's not running.

Also, Tron isn't on the early list. If I go to Space Mountain, Astro orbitor and Buzz for the early entry, then any guess if I have a shot to go in the standby line for Tron? Does that typically have delays opening?

Any other advice for early admission for HS and MK?

I did RNR on EE three weeks ago. It was walk on as everyone else was going to Rise, Slinky or Tower, but I think even Tower was only 10 minutes when I came out of RNR. Even if its not running, having EE will put you at the front of the standby line when it does open.

I would recommend going to check out Thrill-Data.com They track a lot of stats including down time for attractions.

That is an extremely aggressive ETPE plan. By the time you complete those 3 attractions you will be arriving at Tron after non-ETPE have entered the park.

Also, many guests head to Tron at park opening so it’s when it has some of its longest waits each day.

Ppl line up for Tron during early hours, so you could certainly do that; you will still have longish wait. None of the DHS rides are down at early entry commonly but it can happen (no way to know ahead of time.)

Did Tron EE last month and while it was not down they did not load guests on the ride until 9. Camped out in the line and rode when it opened, but there was absolutely a long wait (maybe 40 min) by the time we exited.
What I did about 2 weeks prior to my trip was to look at wait times on my phone app at park opening for the parks I was planning on doing EE on during my trip. Found it very helpful in planning out my touring plan.

Were you there the whole time from 8:30-9 or did you show up later or go on anything else?

At ropedrop we were on the bridge to Tomorrow Land. When we got to Tron they said the ride would not start running until 9.We chose to stay in the line and wait. Tron had only gone to standby the week prior, so thought this was the best choice.

Tron is not part of ETPE but as others have shared, guests will start lining up the moment the park opens for ETPE.

Had a lovely 3 week stay last month at GF, BCV & OKW. Did multiple Early Entries for DHS. RoR, Slinky, Mickie & Minnie were frequently down. Including one morning with all 3 down at the same time and Slinky not even up by the time we left the park mid afternoon. We'd had a LL booked but guest services changed it for another day. Always best to have a plan B for the early entry strategy.

And yes - Tot & RNR were down for some early entries as well. Although if they are up - as already posted - they are walk on for EE as everyone is drawn to the other big hitters. Plus Smugglers is overlooked for EE a little. I genuinely did 4 walk on and offs for EE and before the main crowds came in at 9. The first was on my own as a pilot - the Computer takes on the other roles. Not nearly as much fun on your own though.

Got up really early one morning, to be at the front of the MK EE line for 7DMT. Worked well until we got to the rope drop off the hub. It was down - no predicton on when it would come up. Pivoted to the Space Montain rope drop. Down as well. Should have stayed in bed. 🤨

Appreciate our experience is only anectdotal but I was forever on MDE checking wait times even on other days out of curiosity. The rides do seem to go down a lot more than I remember.
