maybe you guys can give me your opinion on this one. I know the best way to deal with early entry is to go to the EMH park at 8 and stay till it gets crowded then hop on over to another park

but....

what if you are NOT PARK HOPPING - would you recomend going to the early entry park and staying all day or avoid that park (and the crowds) and instead just go to another park when it opens at 9 and stay there.

So i guess the question is - how crowded to the EMH parks get and is it worth it if you are NOT park hopping - any opinions would be great.

since you are asking about EMH I'm assuming you are staying on site.
If you are really against park hopping then i think I would say go to a different park. But it also depends on what time of the year you are going since some times are less crowded than others.

Thanks MrsJ Henry!

Anyone else -

I guess i should say we are going in august and the reason we dont park hop is that we (no small children only grownups) go to WDW usually for 4 or 5 nights and only go to the parks maybe two days and spend the rest of the time relaxing and enjoying the resorts - so we can't justify buying a 5 day hopper for only a few days........always felt that we should stay away from EMH - but this time thought about trying it..however we didn't want to get stuck somewhere with massive crowds. Also - are the ticket windows and guest relations open early too if we needed to pick up tix at guest relations

How often do you go to WDW? even if you go every couple years I would think you would be better off buying a hopper pass and then using it again when you go the next time. They are good for life. I'm using some this year that are almost ten years old that I used the last time I went.

I agree with MrsJHenry. Buying a Hopper and using it over 2 or 3 trips would be better since you would have the "hopping" ability. But if that is not an option, I would still think you would be OK going on an Early Entry day. We have done this before without 'hopping' and been fine. Since the crowds are so light during the Early Entry time frame, you can get most of the really big - popular attractions done early. Then later, when it gets more crowded you can focus on the smaller attractions that tend to have fewer lines, see the shows, watch the parade, shop, and get a good meal. I really like Early Entry - you get to do so much in such a short amount of time.

We take advantage of the early entry - especially over the summer and especially for the Magic Kingdom.

We'll be there over Memorial Day Weekend (very crowded, very hot). We find with small children we can get in and out of all their favorite things in Fantasy Land pretty quick. By the time the hot afternoon sun rolls around we're out at the pools.
