Early Entry Clarification, Please!

Can someone clarify Early Entry at DL for me? Specifically, with our hopper pass, I know we apparently get to select one of the designated days to enter DL early. However, I think I also read that if you are a DL resort guest, you use Early Entry ALL designated days??!!??

And, can you ship a box to DL Resorts like you can to WDW?

EE - yes you are correct. With Hopper a guest at any hotel gets 1 EE day at DL. If you are staying at one of the 3 resorts, with any type of ticket media you have EE each day it is offered. You just show your Hotel slip you receive.


I think you can ship a package to any hotel and have it held until your arrival. But have never tried at DLR.

My understanding is that this is sort of an unwritten perk of staying at one of the 3 resort hotels, and they can end the practice at any time. But it sure is a nice one!

If you have EE privileges based on ticekts, it will be printed on the ticket.

I do not believe you will be given EE priviledges when trading a WDW Park Hopper ticket for admission. When exchanging a WDW hopper for admission, it must be done DAILY at the TURNSTYLE. A lead CM will take your WDW hopper ticket away to a computer and verify you have days remaining, they will remove one day from your WDW ticket and give you a SINGLE day admission hopper ticket to DL/DCA.

Since EE is only available on 3 or more day DL hopper tickets, you would not qualify. We exchanged WDW hopper tickets in November 2006 and did not get EE.

We also asked if they would just exchange our entire WDW hopper ticket on the first day and give us a 3-day DL hopper ticket. They said no, that the exchange had to be made daily and only for a single day pass. I didn't take longer than 2-3 minutes, but we did have to do this each and every day.

Don't waste your time going to the ticket booth or guest services windows ... they cannot (or will not) do the exchange. It can only be done at the turnstyles and only on the date you desire entry (you can't do it on one day and use it the following day as the single day pass is dated for one day only).

Anyway, it was nice being able to use up unused days on our WDW hopper tickets. It saved us having to buy 2 DL hopper tickets. Also, if your WDW ticket has the hopper option, you will be given hopper privileges on your DL day pass. Otherwise, if you do not have a WDW hopper option, you will be given single day entry to only one park (DL or DCA). I think most of the older WDW ticket media was for hopper option. Be sure and save your used up WDW hopper ticket when you are done if you haven't used your water park option in Florida (can still take it to Florida for Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon entry).
