Why work out and diet before the cruise when you are gonna have to work out and diet again later?!?!?

Oh...just thinking of the Chocolate Souffle from Palo!! Anyone with me on that thought?

Boy, I like you already! What a great way to think!:thumbsup2

Great idea! Dessert first, then dinner....hmmm.....don't know if that would be a good lesson for the kids! Dessert is so yummy....I look at it this way...you don't get desserts like that except when cruising so why not take advantage of it (and lose the weight AFTER you get home)! If there were a *drool* smiley I would insert it here!!! Can't wait!

27 more days!!!

Anyone actually use the gym onboard? Although I LOVE to eat, I am also really into fitness. I am a "spin" junkie and go to the Y at least 2or 3 times a week. If I go more than a week without spinning I get grouchy.

So as much as I know I will eat onboard and be active with the things to do, I wonder if they offer the spinning classes in their gym and how good is it? The gym I mean. Or spinning. Whatever.

Also, took the kids to see Meet the Robinsons in 3D. :3dglasses popcorn:: I LOVED it!! Disney did it again. I was impressed and shed a couple of tears over some parts. Even my 11 DD like it. 5 yr too.

Wonder what the premiere will be on our time board?

Most people just eat on the islands because it's a hassle to get back on the boat (especially when you are tendered in) just for lunch. Castaway Cay serves you lunch on the island so you don't have to worry about it. But the other two islands, I would say plan on eating on land (unless you are heading back to the ship for the day).

.
I think your perspective will determine whether or not you return to the ship. My parents, who a veteran cruisers of several cruise lines, always return to ship. Two main reasons...1. The food is already paid for onboard. 2. My mother doesn't trust that she won't get sick eating island food.

I on the other hand will always eat in port. 1. I am travelling to foreign country/land, I want to immerse myself in the culture. 2. I can't even imagine spending the extra time to reboard that I could be spending on those beautiful islands instead. But for me, the cruise is just a nice way to get to the islands. For my parents, the cruise is the vacation.

Once upon a time a wise woman told me to serve dessert with the meal for my kids. Then dessert isn't some big deal, it's just part of the meal. Using that lovely philosophy, I'll just have double chocolate souffle and pass on the green beans!  OHH and maybe some bananas foster too!

I remember reading on the class list for the gym and there was spinning classes. However, I think you have to pay for them but I'm not 100% sure.

I completey agree! ::yes::

I called DCL and these are some of the movies they said would be showing. I forgot a couple of them

Meet the Robinsons
Premiering The Invisible
POC 2(in anticipation of the 3rd which comes out right after our return!)

Someone with a better short term recall needs to call and get the rest of the list. I'm having a senior moment and can't recall the rest.

Thank you for posting that!!! :thumbsup2 I was reading other people's posts about early April sailings and the movies they were showing but I wasn't sure if they would hold out for our dates. I am SO EXCITED to see Meet The Robinsons on the boat!

1. It'll be FREE
2. It'll be in a new theater!
3. It'll be in a DISNEY theater!
4. I wont have to validate my parking stub
5. Snacks (if by buffet) will be FREE!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyy!

We saw Meet the Robinson's yesterday - and we all loved it

I did not even mind paying to see it and would pay to see it again!! So I am really excited that we can see it for free!!!!

I cried too!! My DH was adopted when he was 8 - so it hit close to home - my DD5 called his mom and told her to make sure she takes a box of tissues!!!!

Travel channel had a show tonight about Disney cruising. It even had a bit about the 2 new ships being built. I just happened to catch the show at 8pm eastern time here. Maybe there will be an encore showing for those that missed it. Nothing like a preview to get you in the mood! I've been posting alot here lately! I am debating whether I should lug in a case of water? I do drink alot of bottled water, but tap is just fine for me also.

Hi everyone! Let's get this party started! :dance3: We are officially going with you guys on April 28th now! No turning back! Days are ticking away (of course, not fast enough)! :cool1: I tried to follow the several pages of posts but got confused on who's going & who's not!

Check in so we know you're still going! :cheer2: We need an updated list of who's going, ages, & stateroom #. My cruise last year was very active on this board......so......we've got some catching up to!! You learn SO much from this board that I can't tell you first timers how helpful it wasfor us last year! I feel like a pro and this is only my second cruise!:disrocks:

We finally found this thread.

All 7 of us are traveling together. myself (33), the DH (35), DD (4.5), DS (2 on 5/14), my sister, and my parents. We are in 7505 and 7507. We are at the Wilderness Lodge Vilas Thursday and Friday before (eating at Whispering Canyon Cafe for breakfast is now a tradition since our last cruise). I can't wait..... I am such a Disney Freak (my poor DH).

Has there been a date/time to meet set up yet????

And how crazy that the 2 new ships for 2011 will be 50% larger than what were going on? I havent been to Disney World since last year, and theres already 3 new attractions Im dying to see. But first our cruise!:woohoo:

hey stripes -

tell me your family's favorite characters and I will put them in the portholes for you!

Hi Julia and Nick's Mom -

I am J & C's Mom (for Julia (4) and Colin (2). We are also sailing on the 4/28 cruise and noticed you fantastic designs for magnets. I am tech savy, just not creative. How do you create the designs? Any info will help...

Welcome! There are several of us on deck 7, we are on the same side as you but all the way in the back near the aft elevators. I have DGD 5 and almost 3 and there are alot of 5 year olds on this cruise.

We are meeting on deck 10 at 5 PM, we'll be the ones with green bracelets on or whatever you want to do to identify yourself!

I can't believe it is so close, I can hardly stand it!

Ok, we just got our room assignment! We were upgraded from a GTY Cat 12 to Category 11. We are in room 7131. I guess that's an accessible room. I know that those are bigger, but are they nice? I was wondering about the showers. Are they roll in? I just don't want water all over the floor. I am excited though to be on 7 aft with many of you! If anyone has any info or pictures of the accessible rooms, please share :) . I looked at the stateroom reports for that room, and there wasn't much to go on.

We booked a cat 7 grt and DID NOT get upgraded. Oh well, we booked what we would be happy with. We'll be deck 5 aft. Good luck, everyone!

To all of you on deck 7, from all of us on deck 2....
25 DAYS TO GO...Who cares where my cabin is, as long as it is on the Magic:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:
