Early-Early Roll call.... 4-28-07 Eastern

We'll have a pair of Disney princesses - ages 3.5 and 5.5 princess:princess:

I am a first timer, too, but a big Disney :cheer2: Fan :cheer2:

I just booked this week beacause of a change to our 4-14 plans. Now I have a lot of catching up to do.....Looking forward to reading through the strings and figuring out who we'll be sailing with!!! party: Hi ALL!!!

Welcome to our cruise! There are several princesses the ages of your daughters sailing with us! MY DGD are almost 3 and 5 3/4 and I am sure they will love meeting your DD. I hope the club is ready for so many 5 year old princesses because they sure know they are don't they? It will be so much fun to watch them.

Hi everyone:

On the cruise I was on last year, everyone had green bracelets or ribbons around their wrist for the first day/night as a way of identifying themselves. It might be easier than nametags. We can always go up to a person and say hello and find out their name, or we can do a combo of nametag,bracelet/ribbon. It doesn't have to be green, any colour will do.

Last year on my cruise we were not allowed to board for several hours due to some security scare. Lucky for my family we were on an air-conditioned disney bus,(others didn't fare so well) that just parked outside of Port Canaveral for a couple of hours and we watched disney cartoons. Unfortunately we didn't have any food or water so we were very hot and cranky and hungry by the time we got on the boat which was close to 4p.m. There were people waiting outside in the baking sun with no water and food or idea of what was going on for several hours! DCL also didn't delay the emergency drill so we didn't have much time to eat, and then our dinner was at 5:30 so we didn't have time to be at the sailaway party long enough to see the sailaway. Very disappointing. Just a note for those of us with 5:30 dinners!

My advice is be prepared and take snacks, sunscreen, water, entertainment for your kids, you never know what can come up!

It also really botched up meeting with anyone, so it would be nice if there was some other way of identifying ourselves. I like the door idea too, but since I don't plan to be in my room much, I don't know if I'll meet anyone that way:(

Hello! We will be on the cruise also! We went in December on the 4 night, and got addicted! See you all there! 32 days to go!:woohoo:

Ok, I just got done reading the 27 pages of this thread! Whew!:scared: Here is our info...

It will be myself (Jennifer) and DH (Jose), I am 26 and he is 27. We are from Lakewood, Colorado, and are huge Disney fanatics. He and I actually met while the two of us were working on the Walt Disney World College Program together back in 2002.

We have booked the Exotic Rasul, Paradise Point Skyride at St. Thomas, and the Stingray Excursion at Castaway Cay.

We dont' know our stateroom number yet since we booked 2 weeks ago for a category 12 GTY. I hope that we get lucky and get an upgrade. I've been checking the website everyday hoping that the room assignment has been made. We weren't able to book any Palo reservations yet, so that will be the first thing that we do when we get on board.

I love the door signs! I can't wait to meet everyone! Is the plan still to meet at 5pm on Deck 10? Looking forward to putting some faces with the names!

Just wanted to say that our girls are also princess lovers!! They are almost 3 and 4.5 and can't wait for vacation!

As I was writing this I realized that 4 weeks from now I'll be in the Magic Kingdom waiting for the parade and having a chocolat chip cookie and iced capp. from Sleepy Hollow! YUM!!

Only 5 weeks til we set sail!

Just bumping us up so we don't go past the 2nd page.

And I just want to say GO GATORS! in the Final Four!

Welcome aboard tiqr & jmb910! I'll add your info to the list!

As for the nametags, I was just thinking of how it could have helped last year at our DIS meeting. Since it was at the sailaway party, it's loud and it's hard to introduce each other, get names, etc. Plus...I'm awful with remembering names! (it's really mommy brain):lmao: I'll look and see if oriental trading or some place like that has any green rubber bracelets or something like that. I don't want to wear the bracelet all week but would gladly wear it the first day if that's what we agree on!

Hope everyone is feeling well. My family has been sicker than dogs for the past week so I hope we are getting it out of our systems now! Julia & Nicks mom...hope you're feeling better! (BTW, what is your real name?
I haven't gotten that yet!)

Oh my goodness....we are almost there! Yes, the final weeks seem to tick, tock, tick tock veeeeeeery slowly! And then on the ship it seems to go by too fast!

I am so excited that I am scared! What's the cure for disney on the brain? Lately I have been kind of obsessed with this trip.
I have been planning this vacation for so long. Research, reservations, planning, clothes, MONEY! What am I going to do with all of my free time after this vacation? I will definately need another project to work on!

The cure is to book another cruise onboard like I did last year. 10% the price + $200 stateroom credit!

I just started planning all over again. But this time, I had the benefit of the experience!

Last year's cruise was a blur. Now I look forward to being able to relax!

I'm the same way! When I wake up on May 6th I'll go crazy! :scared:

Great idea with the name tags. 5pm on Deck 10 right? I'll be the one either bug-eyed or wiping a tear. Not sure if excitement or hyperactive emotion will set it. :) DH and I will be wearing the baby blue mickey cruise wear dress/shirt combo. He'll be the one looking embarassed to be matching. :cheer2:

That will be so cute to see! It's funny but my husband is the one that likes to dress alike now, I think we are too old! Sometimes he will wait and see what color I put on and then put on the same color.

We will all be in navy polo shirts with the mickey logo instead of a horse or alligator. My daughter got a really good deal on them at some website. It will be kind of hard to miss 11 of us dressed that way! I doubt everyone will come to the meet but someone will have to see us before that. I will be sure to bring Alexis so she can meet all the other 5 year old princesses!

You all are so cool because you understand my level of excitement. :bounce: :jumping3:
The family just calls me the expert and everything we do (or miss) will be my responsibility!
I can hardly wait to see you all! :wave2:

Being new, I was reading the earlier posts and saw that some of you could not get a reservation for Palo. I logged in around mid-Feb and there were plenty Palo times to choose from. Wonder what happened?

Also, I saw that the parasailing is cancelled. I really wanted to do that with my daughter. First cruise, first parasailing you know? Now I am wondering what to do with looking for another parasailing adventure or maybe Disney will have someone else hired for the job? We do not have any excursion reserved for the ports yet.

Anyone else doing any "cruise" shopping? I am looking for some lanyard card holders so we can have our keys handier (is that a word?) I have a feeling I may overpack. I already have the girls their new suits. 11yr dd wants some pirate garb. Are we supposed to pack for tropical night? I think I read somewhere there will be a tropical night. 5 yr old says she is "not going in the playroom". She is my clingy one and I really want her to have a good time in the kids club. I want some alone time with the husband. That is one of the reasons for booking this cruise. Fun for everyone right??

Sorry this is so choppy and run on, I am in between kids, friends, dog and dinner and trying to catch up on Dis boards!

There will be several 5 year old girls that we know of. Maybe you can come to meet and she will be encouraged to see so many girls her own age. My GD went last year when she was 4 and loved it! If you can just get her there...

Hey guys! Megakats dd Kaitlin here. I have hardly posted! only 31 more days left! I have gotten lots of clothes ready for the cruise,:thumbsup2 and a pirate hat! I don't know who is more exited, me or megakat (my mom) It's a non stop count down! Does anyone know what happened with the parasailing?

Kaitlin

They cancelled Parasailing at Castaway Cay???:confused3 Maybe it's because it was always being cancelled due to wind. The safest and most reliable company for parasailing was in St. Thomas. They're all over the St. Thomas shore excursion websites. I found them through shoretrips.com. I think they held a higher weight combo for tandem and was $10 cheaper (I could be wrong). The only excursion DH and I have booked is horseback riding on the beach in St. Maarten through Lucky Stables (non-Disney). For St. Thomas (if we can't do parasailing right off the dock) we'll do the Paradise Point tramway. It seems neat and they serve smoothie drinks in cool little tram mugs at the top! At Castaway I think we'll bike and snorkel. Tomorrow is the 1-Month mark!! AAAAAAHHHH!:dance3:

P.S. I don't think there is "Tropical Night" anymore. It was replaced with Pirates IN The Caribbean. But I heard folks who don't want to dress in pirate gear usually dress in tropical gear. DH and I will be the dorks in full pirate gear!pirate: Arrrr!!!!

I think someone is excited!! I can't wait either. Our first cruise. No documents yet. Anyone else have their cruise documents yet?? We have booked for cat 8, but not room numbers yet.

No docs on this end either. But they should be here any day because we're within the 6 week window. Woohoo!
