We have a very early, direct flight out of Ottawa on Saturday the 13th for our week-long trip to BCV. We will arrive at the Orlando airport by 9:30, and should be at BCV by 10:30. Can anyone tell me, generally speaking, what the likelihood would be for us to get into our room early. We have a two bedroom unit, and have requested ground floor, pool view, if that makes any difference.

Thanks.::MickeyMo

Since this is spring break for a lot of people, I doubt your villa will be ready. However, you can check in, they will give you the ID card for free parking, and hold your luggage if needed, in case you want to go to one of the parks. The you call or go back after 4pm, and get a room number.

"Ditto" what AJKMOM said...particularly if you want to stick with the requests on your ressie. At times CMs do have some leeway to switch people around if a room is available when the guests arrive. But the fact that you have specific requests in mind means the pool of rooms the CM can choose from is that much smaller.

And don't forget that your requests are just that--requests. Even if you can't get into your room until 4 or 5pm, you still may not get a room that exactly meets your desires.

Wow, direct flight out of Ottawa! That's fantastic (way better than driving to Mirabel or Dorval in the olden days). I expect there is a very slight chance you might get in early, but otherwise go enjoy the parks until 3-4 and have them let you know where to go. Enjoy!

You never know! When I checked in to BCV in December (the busiest DVC time) at 10:45 am, there were 2 rooms available that met 2 of my 3 requests. Surprisingly, I'd requested Courtyard view, and both rooms were Epcot view (I thought Epcot view would be most popular and not available that early). I took the view available and got in at 10:45 am.

I have to agree with Simba's mom. You never know. Back in December, the CM at the VWL wouldn't even consider a change in my room but this past month during President's week, I was able to get into the BWV's at 9:30 A.M. You just never know.

Thanks for the replies, everyone! I forgot to mention that we have three kids, 5 and under, so I don't think we'll attack the parks before we are able to get settled. We'll keep our fingers crossed, and hope for the best!::MickeyMo

Since you are staying at the BCV you can always go to SAB while you wait. That should keep the kids happy. They will even let you use the health club to change and shower if you'd like to.
