EARLY CHECK IN: December 15th, 2007 - Seven night Western - 12/15/07

Hey Everyone,

Boy the boards have been busy...I spent all day yesterday baking over 200 cookies for a cookie exchange. I do not want to make another cookie for a long time :hyper: It is a good thing the cookies were loaded with epresso so it kept me going all day yesterday at a really fast pace. :rotfl:

I am no good at hair so I am of no help. My DD has really hard hair to work with too, I will probably just put a hair band in hers. That is if she will let me an keep it in.

Sounds like every one is getting all set for the cruise. I feel like I am running out of time fast ... I have no idea how I am going to pull of my "to do" list

DD woke up with a frog in her throat and a cough yesterday. The other 2 had it last week. I can only hope it goes away quickly.

Stacie, if you need any help with any of the graphic stuff let me know. I have a some magnetic and sticker photo paper that I can use.

I made autograph books for the kids. I found at http://designsbymollymoo.com/blog/autograph-pages/ for $1.99 that I could download pdf pages of the characters and there names. I just copied the pictures I wanted and opened them up in Photoshop and printed them in there. I just used some think 5x7 matte photo paper and am going to use a spiral binder and bind it. I also made a personalize cover with pictures from our last cruise. Now I just need the to let them add to the cover with sparkles and stickers to make it there own. I am so happy it only took me an 2 hours to do both :woohoo:

Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend only 6 days left for us :cool1:

I just printed off my magnets. I had made two of them a couple of weeks ago and saved them and almost forgot that I still needed to print them. :scared1: So, I printed those and made two more and printed those off.

I am on my way to get my hair cut and then when I get home I am getting the suitcases out. :cool1:

It would be crazy if one of Rachel's classmates was on the cruise. What are the chances of that?

On our last Disney cruise DH ran into co-worker (one that he didn't care for) on the ship before we even left port. DH wasn't too pleased. Fortunately the ship is big and we never saw them the rest of the cruise.

We're getting a little drizzle here right now. DD had basketball this morning and we saw several accidents while we were out. We are to get 1/4 to 1/2 inches of freezing rain between now and Sunday night followed by another storm Mon/Tues. I'd much rather have the snow then the ice. I think we're going to stay in the rest of the weekend.

This time next week we will be hanging out on the deck of the Magic. Thinking about that makes the cold weather here a little more bearable.

Hello all, we're home from the swim meet just in time for Andy to take a nap so we can go the choir concert marathon. It is the silliest thing. Every choir in 6-12th grade sings at the same concert. They have it in the high school auditorium which is way too small and then invite the public. This year they are dismissing the kids after they sing. They can only stay if they sit with their parents in the audience. The only problem is a lot of the parents have more than one kid so they have to sit through the whole long thing. The 7th grade choir will sing towards the beginning but DS won't be done until the very last song. I think we'll let him drive, that way if I pinch the baby ;) and have to leave we won't have to go back in and get him.

Evidently the stomach bug is going through the neighborhood. There were several swimmers missing this morning. Good thing activity day was cancelled yesterday.

Patty--If it storms in KC on Mon and Tues your whole family better be outside blowing the storm away from south central Iowa. East, straight east would be good, so would south, any way except north east. :) Nothing here yet today. We have a high of 16!

1 MORE WEEK!!!!
:cool1: :cool1: :woohoo: :woohoo: :dance3: :cheer2:

:rotfl2: :woohoo:

Stay healthy, everyone! We're still pounding the Vitamin C.

DD's GS troop has a silver award overnight tonight with GS from all over the Bay Area. We're driving (3 hours!), but another mom is spending the night. DH and I just need to survive the bridge traffic both ways getting the Scouts there and the revelations from the backseat regarding who's nice, who's not and who likes which boy. Pretty illuminating! Stacie scared me with her earlier e-mail - DH and I are alone tonight :rolleyes1 ... guess it's time to start the wrapping of presents, then! :santa:

Illuminating--yes, that's a good word to describe a van full of Girl Scouts. That's supposed to be a sarcastic smiley.

Presents, focus on the presents. ;)

Wow. What a chatty bunch. The temps were in the 70's for the Christmas parade. John actually did pretty well. I told him to just wait until he saw the Disney parade.

You guys are so funny talking about being home alone. I think it will be a while before David and I are home alone, so no worries for any more kids for a while.

I cannot believe that by this time next week, we will have had our cruise meet, some of us will be at dinner and others will be at the show. I never thought this day would come. So much to do!!

Me & DH R alone alot but there will never be feet growing in this house hold:lmao: :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl: :scared1: OMG if there is. I'll be rich:rolleyes1

I'm still not packed still can't think about it. We leave for the plane at 5:30am I will be packing at 5:00am:eek:

Still haven't called the DR. Maybe on Monday I'll call her.

My daughter was coming home from Maine to surprise me for my birthday that would have been nice. She got stuck working this week-end & couldn't come. I haven't seen her since last Christmas when we did Disney. We had a blast. It was her,me & DS.

The torture concert, ur ah, I mean choir concert was postponed tonight because it is raining/snowing and really isn't nice to be out. They rescheduled it for WEDNESDAY NIGHT. AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
What were they thinking?!?!?!?!?! I have things to do Wednesday night like laundry, laundry, laundry, and packing, packing, packing. DS is home tonight and tomorrow night then busy Mon and Tues, now Wed. I think he thinks I'm packing him but I figure you've done this twice now, you do it. He packed three times this summer for camp without me he can do this too. DH will have to pack this weekend too. :scared1: I might be pushing it to wish for no school on Wed (choir concert would be automatically cancelled) but clear weather on Thursday afternoon. What do they say about the best laid plans. :confused3

Sharon--You can probably pack in your sleep as much as you've been gone this year. Pack your PJs and throw in some T-shirts, you're welcome at my table anytime regardless. Can you call and leave a message with your Dr. tonight or tomorrow, that way you don't have to think about doing it all weekend. Sorry your daughter didn't make it home. We are celebrating Andy's birthday, Kevin's Birthday, and Cristi's birthday on board. Do you have late seating? We do and I requested PLA rotation, if you want we can talk to the dining people when we get onboard and get tables close by then we can celebrate all the birthdays together. Only a few more days. :grouphug:

I'm sure I've been told this before...but I'm complying my groups paperwork/slight plans and I can't remember what day we are doing the Palo Brunch...is it Monday or Thursday?

I believe the Palo brunch is Monday at 10:00.

I'm mostly packed, shorts t-shirts and dress clothes. I plan to work from home for a few hours on Friday morning and I'll do the last load of laundry that morning, the necessities.

Stacie like your DS, my DH is on his own to pack. His suitcase is out at least. DD is packed except for the necessities. Now just pray for good weather here in the midwest on Thursday and Friday.

.

Thank you!

I'm happy I found my pirate hat tonight when I started packing up the apartment. I know I'm not moving until Feb/March but I rather pack the clutter in the living room now that I know we aren't going to use.

It's 11:15 pm here. DH is working on magnets. I'm working on goodie bags for church stuff tomorrow. Last night John woke at midnight. He might just wake up before I even go to bed...

Rachel asked today when we are going to put up our Christmas tree:rolleyes1

I'm cleaning up the kitchen before heading to bed. We have to put the dog water bowl up now b/c John likes to play in it. I just realized that the bowl is on the counter and is completely dry. I don't think she drank anything today:sad2: She just went upstairs to bed with David. I'll have to take her some in a small bowl when I go up. Poor thing.

Oh yeah, that's how we got Andy in the first place. :lmao:

I think we'll let him drive, that way if I pinch the baby ;) and have to leave we won't have to go back in and get him.

Presents, focus on the presents. ;)

Stacie, you've made me laugh out loud 4 times today!

DH and I made it home safe and sound. DH not familiar with the tween girl planet, not sure he wants to go visit again any time soon. He was the only male in the room as the GS Council event began, and was standing near but not with me, and one of the organizers started going into a tizzy because they thought they needed to provide a separate room for him to spend the night. And he was just trying to escape! Tee hee.

This is our weather for the week. It looks like it should be fine by Friday to fly in. We have about 4 inches out there now, but it isn't currently snowing. Driving to our Christmas party for work was loads of fun last night. It was really slick. The party was fun though. I got my 15 year recognition. They did a casino night with play money. I was up about $4000 and bet it all on one hand of blackjack. Thankfully, I lost because we really needed to leave to go pick up Rachel. :)

They are an interesting bunch aren't they.
