Earliest Express Return

I'm aware that the Plus passes can't be used until 10 AM. Am I correct in assuming that's also the earliest return time one will get from the distribution machines? Do any rides not open first thing in the morning with the rest of the park? Thanks.

10 am is the earliest return time on the free express.

It's like this becasue there is no need to used express from 9a-10a. Lines don't get long until 11-12 anyway.

Not to mention the cost of staff. I'm giving my wife the option of less walking on her part at Uni, but she'll have EP duty. Since I normally handle that sort of thing, just wanted to make sure she picks the more desirable time of the 2 options; this'll help. Much Obliged.
