I've heard so many great things about the Earle of Sadwhich in DTD but I've never been. My family's going to be ariving at SSR WEdnesday afternoon and we need an idea for dinner that night. WE're thinking about going there. Is it realy that good???

Some pretty darned good sandwiches there.

I at there last trip with just DD6 and me. I LOVED it. Had the chicken jerk sandwich. DD had the grilled cheese and she did not like it (very picky though, she said the bread was too thick). It is a great place, it was packed with people from work getting their lunch. Another customer commented about the numbers for lunch and the "regular" lady told her that everyone goes there that works in the vacinity. I did not go back this trip, but plan to again.

Its ok for a sandwich but I would go to WPE over EoS all the time!

I was thinking that same thing...I'd go to WPE over EofS.

When we went in December, 2007 we were very impressed (we had the Originals). When we went back in September, 2008, we were disappointed - the roast beef was very stringy and tasteless. We'll probably try it again, though, because its a tradition of sorts - we go to DTD our first night and eat there.

We were at EoS three times during our trip last month, and we enjoyed the sandwiches each time. I do wish we had tried WPE one time, but we needed something quick and convenient and EoS fit the bill. :)

We really liked EoS. The girls got ceasar salads and they loved them. DH and I had sandwiches. I don't remember what kind, but they were great. Beware you get a lot, so you might be able to share. We went on our first night. WE got there around 5:15ish and there was no wait. As we were eating, it got more crowded.

We really liked it.

Best sandwiches I've ever had! My neice is a good measure of food, as she is extremely picky - she ate every last bite!

There MAY be better sandwiches elsewhere in the World, but the prices at EoS are TERRIFIC....we usually eat there more than one time....when we stayed at Saratoga Springs last Christmas, I don't want to admit how often we walked over there. NOTHING like a sandwich at EoS and ice cream at Ghiradelli!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

And, by the way, it is the only tomato soup my teenager eats!:cheer2:

as I sit here (hungry anyways) I can hardly wait to go back and get another THE FULL MONTAGU.......it is my favorite......I have tried a bite of my nieghbors sons tuna and also the cannonball and my hubby loves anything that is eaten there.......thanks for getting me ready to go and have some fun...:thumbsup2

It is great! The beef N Bleu was awesome. If I could replicate it here at home I could open a restaurant and retire in a year! It is worth stopping.

When we go in June our flight home the last day is very late so we are planning to head to DTD that day and just pay for this on our own since we should be out of credits at that point.

It is inexpensive (relatively speaking) and very good. I have been talking about it for two years now and can't wait!

Its good but stinks for kids. I get my son McDonalds when we go there

DH and I got the roast beef (Original) and the Hawaiian BBQ chicken sandwich and split it, and they were really good. We had them for lunch though. It was the least expensive meal we ate all week.

The bread is awesome. I think there may be better options for dinner, though.

We love it!!! We went twice last year - there are some pictures in my signature if you want to see different ones!

Thanks for all the reviews!!!!

We want a qucik meal when we get there on wednesday night and we thought since were staying at SSR that walking to DTD woul be a good choice.

Is WPE sit down or counter service and how long of a walk is it from the marketplace???
