I've never even seen the movie!

Oh, you've got to watch it when you have a chance! My husband and I laughed and enjoyed it even more than our kids.

Just a note to post what I was told. When I called to renew my Annual Pass and upgraded to a PAP I asked when Shreck would open and was told that since I am now a PAP holder I will receive something in the mail that will allow me to see it through a special preview. When I asked the date(s) of the preview she did just said I would get notification in the mail.

This may be old news but oh well, posted just in case.

I just got a call from my friend who's at the park right now (lucky him). He said an employee told him that, much like GeezerGirl said, here would be a special preview time for AP holders, but that we won't be notified until later.

But the guy did tell my friend that the dates would be June 6 - 9, and that we will have to e-mail and reserve our date in advanced. He said the email was APSpecialEventA@universalorlando.com.

We are really looking forward to this attraction.. where is it located in the park? What was there before?

>>^..^<<

"Dates are subject to change without notice" :p

And Shrek is where Hitchcock used to be.

actually said that Shrek would be opening in Hollywood this weekend, but in Orlando on June 12. :( We will be there May 24-31, so we will miss it. And we love Shrek. My husband and I love it as much or more than our girls! They're both teenagers, but they really love that movie!

We'll be there next week as well - Oh well - it will give me something to look forward to on our next trip!:p

Well darn! Sorry guys, I guess once I read the opening of Shrek I just skimmed everything else. I do know though that E! reported that both would open this weekend. Of course we are talking about an entertainment network and we all know how skewed facts can get. LOL

I called yesterday to the Annual Pass number and inquired about the soft opening so I could possibly change my return home so I can see it. I was told that the mailing was going out yesterday (Mon) and today (Tue) and that if I do not receive it by Friday to give them a call. I will continue to keep you posted.

There hasn't been any word on an employee preview yet either. But it should be coming up soon.

Thanks for the article. Didn't need a registration to view!

It's not opening in Orlando for another few weeks. At Hollywood it opens this weekend, and ap previews were last weekend.

I was out in Hollywood last week for business, so I stopped by USH and they accepted my Orlando AP for the preview (I still had to buy tickets into the park, however)

I wrote a bit about with photos as an article at ioacentral ( http://www.ioacentral.com )
