I think Marie's and Jane's kid are much older. Also I don't believe that they live cross country. Not sure if Jane has a house here or not. Also they haven't been through what Kate's kids have been through lately.

Also, for me, I believe that Kate is in it for herself, she claims the kids. My personal belief is that she saw the kids(once they were here) as an opportunity to become a celeb, even if it is in her own silly mind.

I liked Kate at one time, I really did. I have been watching the old reruns and have really picked up on some petty stuff from her.

For the record, I am no fan of Jon's either.

I have no personal problem with her endeavors...just one of those DWTS selections that occur each season that leave my scratching my head and saying, "really?"

I'm so sick of the world trying to place rules on a family that has young children and whether or not they are allowed to be in the "entertainment" field. (whether or not they have the ability to entertain )


I predict she is voted first one off.

You know that wasn't what I meant. But since we're playing games, Maries kids are 21, 11, 23, 19, 13, 12 and 8...BTW, that is assuming the last 5 I mentioned were infants when she adopted them. I only found the year she adopted them not the year they were born...so it's possible they are older. And by my count, that is SEVEN kids.

Jane's kids are 26, 22, 15, 15, and a few step-children OLDER than her oldest. Still not quite eight, is it? And if I am wrong about their ages, or the number of kids listed above...I don't care BECAUSE (drumroll)....

Yeah, pretty much what you said. I don't care if she does it or not. I'll still watch the show, because I'm amazed at how well most of the non dancers do. Obviously people are stil interested, since they still talk about her. DWTS don't care if people like who they have on..just that they talk about the show.

Well, I for one will be watching. I watch every season and I think Kate will add something interesting since she's fairly bold and brazen. IMO she doesn't appear to accept criticism too well so I'll be very interested to see how she handles it. Maybe she'll surprise us all and do well. Stranger things have happened!

As far as her leaving her kids and her time management, I'm tired of debating whether or not she's a good mom. I'm planning to watch the show and be entertained! My guess is that she'll argue with Len or somehow end up on Bruno's lap! That's worth watching right there!

ETA: Most of the stars who appear on DWTS are usually b-list actors/celebs. Actually, Kate is probably a step up from that given all the media attention she's had over the last year. So, ABC was pretty smart to ask her, she'll draw in devoted Kate fans and the Kate non-fans! Come on, aren't we at all curious to see how she'd do? I am.

I don't think its really the fact that she has kids, but the fact that she has EIGHT LITTLE ONES. Between DWTS, book signings, and whatever else she may be doing how is she going to have time to be there for all 8 needs, to spend some 1:1 time, she has always said that that is pretty rare, but sometimes kids needs that.
As a PP mentioned, I am sure that the house must be paid off, if not, sell it and downsize and go back to nursing. I am sure she had a lot of money from book tours and her publications. I just really can't see her being "broke" and I am sure John is going to have to pay child support.

The house is not paid off & she has debt. I don't think she could sell that house in this market without loosing money. They just sold the old house a few months ago & that took a long time to sell.

Brook lives in LA and I think she has a stable hubby or boyfriend(not sure which one) to watch the kids and she could see them at night. I don't think Kate will be flying back to PA each night to see her beloved kids. Also Brook doesn't seem like a media (you know what). To me that makes a difference, maybe it shouldn't but it does. Maybe Kate should move her kids to LA, I wouldn't have as much of a problem with it then.

I'm more horrified by the though of Pamela Anderson in all the skimpy costumes. That woman needs to accept that she is not 25 anymore.
