Has anyone made reservations by going through the DVC website? We did last night because member services was closed. What was your experience doing it this way? Good or bad?

It was fine. Many members prefer the immediacy of the phone call over the delay involved in securing a reservation via e-mail. But no, I've had no problems with the e-mail system the few times I have used it.

We've made almost all of our reservations via E-Mail on the member site. We've been very pleased and have always gotten our first choice. We do tend to travel during less crowded times -- September and January. Perhaps if we were looking to go around the holidays I might feel better using the phone system.

We have made most of our reservations using the on-line email system and have never had a problem. They usually email back to you in a day or two and send you the confirmation number followed by the usual written confirmation in about a week to 10 days. A lot easier than being on hold for 15 minutes or longer.

I have used it once, for a reservation, but I do use it to add names to a reservation or the DDP. I try not to tie up the phone lines, especially with all the long waits, lately. I like having a email confirmation with the amount on the DDP.

I prefer the immediacy of the telephone to make reservations. However, I've used the E-mail to cancel a reservation. The E-mail is fine when what you need to do is not time sensitive.

As long as you are traveling during a "normal" DVC demand time vs. a peak time, and are at th ebeginnings of booking windows, you should be ine. It will take a couple of days fo them to answer you, though.

I've used it often, without problems.

I used it last week and received a response the next morning with everything confirmed. It was great and no problems at all.
