As I was just browsing through my newest Disney Store catalogue , I got to wondering about other DVC'rs....It is the pure love of ALL THINGS Disney or WDW as just a great vacation destination??

Recently, a co-worker returned from a great WDW trip with her family of 4. As we were talking , another co-worker said "oh no! I hope you aren't going to become a disney nut too "
Why am I a disney nut if I like to VACATION at WDW ??
I love the beauty of the resort and the activities available to my children.

Every month when browsing the catalogue , I am drawn to the mickey dishes, bedspreads, silverware etc...but never buy. I don't know IF my "addiction " goes that far....Although I do have mugs, and the mickey doorhandles on my kitchen cabinets!!

A friend of mine also has a love of WDW and vacations there at least 3xper year.( not a DVC'r) But for him it is something different ...he loves ANYTHING disney related...decorated house, masterbedroom ( no kids yet) Disney wedding complete with character centerpieces ,,,the whole bit....

Are most of you guys just really into all things Disney....or just into great vacations ??

Thanks for any replys !

Mostly just vacations at our favorite place to be, but we also have a few "Mickey" and WDW things around too.

Well, I have a love for most things Disney, but really my true love of Disney lies with the vacation destination alone. I can't think of a place I like to vacation at more, or a place that makes me feel better when I visit. While I love a lot of things Disney, WDW is most of what I love.

I think I'm more in love with the vacation destination, but I will admit that we have a Disney room (not our bedroom however):teeth: So, I guess it depends on the merchandise, but mostly we love how beautiful and clean it is there, and how there is something for everyone. We had a friend visiting with us last week who thinks we are obsessed (that Disney room didn't help). Even though he went there last year with his family, he doesn't get it.
I think we are very lucky to have found a place where we all are so happy:goodvibes

I have such great memories of visiting WDW when I was a child and I want my children to experience the magic that is Disney.

I love the way it makes me feel while I am there as well. I am not a DVC'r yet, which is part of the reason I am on the boards looking and gathering information. My DH and DD were there to celebrate her 3rd birthday (we didn't take the other two, we wanted one on one with just her). I was seriously depressed coming home not knowing when I would be back! We are from UT, so it isn't easy to get there, and I knew it would be a while.

I think this is why the DVC entices me. I can look forward to knowing that I will be back and know WHEN I will be back! Because we live further away with 3 young kids, I think we'd be more inclined to go every other year and bank our points and then do a big sh-bang while we're there.

No one else in my DH's family understands the Disney thing like I do. My husband is slowly getting there, and has been 3 times with me in our 4 years of marriage! I think he'd still rather go other places, but, it is because of my passion that we keep going, and it isn't like he complains either. My family feels the way I do, and we do have a vacation spot in Ft Myers FL that is all Disney themed. I am afraid to take my in laws, because I know my excitement of taking them for the first time to WDW will be emotional, and I'll be disappointed if they don't love the place like I do, yet I fully want them to just experience it once. Everyone from around here is into DisneyLAND which is easier to drive to from here. I, for one, would much rather bag Disneyland and save up for WDW!!!!

Sorry this is so loooong, but it triggered some thoughts that I just had to share! :)
