We went to a timeshare presentation with Travelwise / TAN last night and it seemed like a good product.

We didn't buy but the one thing that I like is when you buy a minimum of one of their prepaid vacations you get access to their excess inventory. Every prepaid vacation you buy is $899 with a $359 yearly fee and a $95 booking fee. However as long as you have one vacation in your bank you may use the excess inventory and book a weeks vacation for $199 at 90 days out.

For now we just don't have time or short term freedom to take advantage of the excess inventory but when we retire it seems like it would be a great thing.

DVC is great but this seems like TAN would be a good addition to our vacation options when the time is right. Does anyone know about TAN? What is your opinion?

You might want to ask about this over at a site like www.tug2.net where there is great info about a wide variety of timeshare programs.

This doesn't seem all that too good to be true. $900 for a prepaid vacation, $360 annual fee and a $95 booking fee. $1,355 for a vacation. Not horrible, not great. You'd have to be a two vacation a year family it seems for this to be great.

Now I say that having done no research at all and completely talking out of my rear end. But aren't most value resort Disney vacations for a family of 4 roughly $1,400 or so?
