DVC Vacation Countdown Widget

Anyone installed the DVC Vacation Countdown Widget and had it open the watch slowly insted of quickly as it should?

Yes! I'm having the same problem with it on my computer - I thought it was just me. Seeing it open so slowly just made me depressed about how long until our next visit to WDW!

Would love to see if anyone has a solution.

ack..I had downloaded this when it first came out and it had huge issues and never worked so I deleted it. Then I got a email that it had been fixed, but haven't tried it again. Looks like it is still messed up

Ummm...yeah! Trouble here too! I have used it for the last couple of years with no problems. Then last week it all of a sudden stopped working unless I clicked my mouse over it several times and watched it work slowly. I uninstalled the program and tried to re-install. It won't even re-install. So sad. I used it all of the time. It is probably a consipiracy of all my friends that were getting tired of me saying, "Only 137 days and 14 hours and I will be at Disney!"

I have v04 installed. I had these kinds of problems with the first few versions. When I installed v04 it worked great and I set the Compatibility to Windows XP and it worked great up until earlier this week. I don't get it.

Any computer geeks out there that can help with this?

Ours was working fine, then today, Jess said that it was not working right, not opening, and the date was wrong. She clicked out of it, and, tonight, I am checking, and ITS GONE! Somehow, it un-installed itself? I am going to try a new download of it tonight!

JUST DOWNLOADED IT, and it won't install!! Wow, wonder what happened with it???

I have discovered the answer. Adobe FlashPlayer… The v04 Countdown timer wasn’t compiled with the latest version, version 9 or 10 I think. I installed it on my WindowsXP computer and it worked fine. That computer had Adobe Flash 8. I upgraded the Flashplayer to version 10 and the Countdown timer slowed down. I deleted the Flashplayer and reinstalled Flash version 8 and the Coundown timer work great. So DVC just needs to recompile the program with Adobe Flash 10 or latest version for it to work properly.
