DVC studios - fewer amenities

Checked into OKW studio March 2. There were dirty mugs and glasses setting in a washbasket outside of our room, but there were no mugs or glasses in our studio. I called housekeeping to request mugs and glasses and was told that studios didn't get them. I told her, "but the previous guests had them, because their dirty ones are still setting outside of our door". She said "OK, I'll bring you 2 of each". When she arrived, she had more styrofoam cups and told us that we were not permitted to have mugs and glasses. So, after looking at your picture, maybe they have already decided to reverse their policy.

What the heck????? Not permitted to have them???? Seriously? That is just wrong. You really should be writing an email.

It really is a mater of customer service at this point. How insulting to say you are not permitted to have them (but the people here last week and every other day up until now were.) That is almost as bad as "they were never there" and we all knew they were and even have pictures of them.

I thought so. Well then ... you can complain when it happens to you and Disney decides that it doesn't matter if the kitchen is "full" or not.
My parents were at the BWV a few months ago and my mother got yelled at on day one because the dishwasher overflowed and there were suds everywhere. Some people seem to put the wrong detergent in the dishwashers and this happens pretty often, she was told. It gets the carpets pretty wet and is a bit of a major clean up for a few hours with towels and other stuff. They put some drops in to break down the bubbles, but the guy had to come back twice for my parents so it would stop bubbling over. The guy kept telling my mom she had to use the right stuff.

My mother didn't do this. She always packs those little single dose things that dissolve right in the dishwasher.

But maybe they'll decide the dishwashers are more trouble than they're worth and pull them out of the rooms next. I'm sure it's something they can find a legal way around it if they had to.

MARY

since when is a kitchenette a full kitchen a wet bar sink and a micowave does not equal a kitchen
........................

No where does it state that DELUXE mean you get glassware as i said reread your planner pages 25-26 ..................................

Now I have been the getting anger directed to me well I have big shoulders but I do not have a issue with the change.

1) I never said a kitchenette is a full kitchen. I said it was a small kitchen or alcove with kitchen appliances.

2) I never said Deluxe meant you get glassware. In fact I don't think I even mentioned glassware in my post so rereading my planner is unnecessary. What I *did* say was in reply to your statement that studios are not deluxe "If they want to be deluxe then spend the points for a one BDR and poof your deluxe" My reply stands. Studios = Deluxe.

3) Why do you think anyone is directing anger towards you? Simply because I combined three of your statements into one post so I could reply more succinctly? We all have the right to our opinions. Simply because my opinions do not agree with yours does not mean I am directing anger anywhere.

IMHO. YMMV. :confused3

Yes I would due to the fact that there is a FULL KITCHEN THERE.

Uh, do YOU do something different with your mugs and glasses in your one or two bedroom with that full kitchen than some of us do in our studios with the little kitchenette?:scared1: I am really lost with your arguments in this thread.

My son did this to our dishwasher (put in dishwasher liquid SOAP), we had the same thing happen. In fact, it happened with the next 3 wash loads!! Could have killed him, we ended up getting a new dishwasher! :scared1:

Hey..I have an idea for some DVC content in Disney Files....

"Letters to Jim Lewis".....

Well since Disney has gone public with the plans for that Imaginary Building Next to the Contemporary, the CMs must have nothing left to fib to the guests about. Looks like the imaginary cups fit the bill nicely, doesn't it? :rotfl2:

Mary <"permitted"? What are we three years old? LOL!>

I think it's an english as a second language issue. I'm assuming.
I will freely admit to being an English as a Second Language poster. In fact, I sometimes ask other posters to 'translate' posts for me here as I struggle to understand the intent. I apologize if anyone has ever had difficulty in deciphering my posts.

I think this is rude.

;) Not having seen my place, I don't think that anyone is in a position to judge whether or not it is considered 'deluxe'.

I have no first hand knowledge of this but I have heard that Downy breaks up all those bubbles. Guess we have one more item for our Owner's Lockers. :thumbsup2

So, what do you do differently with your ceramic mugs and glasses in a 1 bedroom with a kitchen, than others do in a studio with a kitchenette?

On 2nd thought, don't answer that.

Your posts are always very well written bavaria. Very clear and concise. You have nothing to apologize for.

Aside from the fact that MS at first said that there were never ceramic mugs/glasses in studio, I find the fact that the mousekeepers said you aren't able to get them in studios the most disturbing. Who made that decision?

DVC did change amenities on us, they put DVD players in studios. I think that had been announced at the Members Meeting. What is the Members Satisfaction team doing? Has anyone heard from them?

How about the "Welcome Home Wednesdays?" I've never been, but was planning to go April 30th. Is there chance for any input?

I would never have thought that English was a second language for you, everything you've written is very clear!

Unfortunately too many native English speakers do not respect the language nearly as much as they should.

This is not meant as an attack, but is English your first language, Dborges?

The level of misspelling, incorrect or non-existent punctuation and unusual wording in your posts makes me think it is not. I have a hard time understanding some of what you are trying to say due to this.

If you have an issue that affects your ability to write clearly please forgive me for pointing this out but I am having great difficulty reading your posts.

I guess I am just trying to find a reason to excuse this. :)

I am sorry for my spelling and grammar.

I seem to have forgotten how to write. I think you can still get my point.

bavaria

I think your english is fine I always can read what your saying.

I think we can all Agree that we disagree on this sorry it is how I feel I do not fault any of you for feeling the way you do.

I agree. In a studio stay at BWV we asked mousekeeping for wine glasses and extra regular glasses (there were only two in the kitchenette and we needed four) and they brought them right away.

I think you can still get my point.

As I said, I wasn't attacking you, I was looking for clarification. I was frequently not getting your point, that was the problem.

Sorry you took this the wrong way.

Bowing out now, I'm not here to cause trouble.

It is Just me I ramble pointless sometimes .
