Do DVC deluxe resort stays qualify you for extra magic hours in the park in the evening?!

Thanks.

I'll reiterate what others have said but thought I'd clear up some terminology as well.

  • Early Entry = 30 minutes early entry for ALL resort guests plus some other hotels
  • Extended Evening = 2 hours extended nighttime hours for Deluxe (including DVC) guests, Swan/Dolphin, and Shades of Green, currently Mondays at Epcot and Wednesday at Magic Kingdom.
  • Extra Magic Hours = don't exist anymore.

There is also Disney After Hours which is the speical ticket paid event that is 3 hours.

Disney After Hours at
Disney's Hollywood Studios

Adventure Awaits You at This Exciting Nighttime Event—Select Nights Through June 28, 2023!

Disney After Hours at EPCOT

Experience an evening of magic and thrills—with lower wait times for select attractions—select nights through August 24, 2023!

And DVC-Y members can get discounts on these tickets.

What is DCV-Y?

DVC owners who are eligible for membership extras....perks...will see DVC-Y on thier MM pass. Those who are not...resale buyers since 2016 who don't have direct points, or don't have enough direct points to meet the threshold in place when they bought...currently 150 direct points...see DVC-ND...alerting CMS that the guest is not eligible for the DVC discounts.

guess we qualify! Are they same as pass holders ? Or is there a place we can look? does this apply to spouses?

Most discounts are the same but there are a few places where DVC is more...and there have been a few times where they offered a larger discount to AP holders than for DVC...but not too often.

If your spouse is a deeded owner, they will be eligible for the discounts but need their own DVC and MDE accounts set up in order for the DVC - Y to show on the back of their Magic Mobile pass. They don't have to use those, but they do need to be active.

To set up their own DVC, you have to call MS and have them give your spouse their information....

Yep! I've rented points to stay at the Poly twice and we have had the extra hours both times without any problems.
