Disney Vacation Club Resorts - Remember - at your home resort -
you can reserve up to 11 months in advance of your check out date
and 7 months in advance at other DVC resorts.

All members have the same benefits and restrictions
regardless how they joined the DVC.

There is no negative to a membership purchased through resale.

The smallest I've seen is 25 points through resale but I think they are harder to come by. I've heard of a waiting list for resale for the smaller points so maybe that would help. Disney direct is a 150 minimum.

Buy a 25 point resale and you will be a member entitled to whatever benefits we all have.

By "dates" I guess you are referring to use year, and that is the month when your points go into your account. There are banking deadlines based on these dates. We have a March Use Year, and this is the first year that we are "risking" a January vacation. We figure that we still would have February to try to use those points if you don't go in January. IF we don't use them before March 1st, we lose them.

No, if it is your first contract you would still need to purchase the 150 points. If you are an exisiting member it is 120 points.
