I was just in the DVC site and was looking at the new Availbility Checker Tool and it worked fine. I've been playing around in there off and on for a half an hour. Were you using online booking?
Edit: I just went back in and used Online Booking and everything seemed to work okay. But then I didn't actually book anything either.
Just called myself. 40 min is ridiculous. I had a 20 min wait about a month ago. Used to never be on hold more than a few minutes.
These threads pop up a lot. It's not uncommon for the website to go down off and on at least 1 day a week. It's only news when it goes down for more then a day.

It's somehow comforting, though, when you are trying to do something online @ some deadline (11 months, 7 months, 180 days, etc.) when you see that some other person somewhere is suffering the same angst you are w/ a down Disney site while waiting for the phones to open up and then once they do while you listen to Disney tunes as you wait forever on the phone. Misery loves company, I suppose.
Their "limitless budget" is limited by our dues. This is the member website which is paid for by the members.After all they are the top dog in the entertainment field, and have an almost limitless budget to work with to get their own websites running smoothly .
Just dont know how they could have so much trouble.
