DVC Sales Perks/Comps?

Just saying, we have posts here on the DIS where people insist that they are just going to look and they know better than to buy direct. Next post is, "I'm an owner, they were so nice, they gave me free points, free fast passes, lemonade, and a gift card"!

Wait I think that was one of my early posts! It was really good lemonade. :disrocks:

Don't forget that as long as I bought by September (with a September Use Year) they gave me 'last year's points' as well.
 
my neighbor just bought last week at the Poly - he told me he got a $200 GC and fastpass for his family of 5
 
Hi --- so when we check into Pop, how do I go about arranging a tour?
 
We just did the tour on Sunday and received $100 gift card and 4 fastpasses per person. We did our tour at the Poly and end up buying in.
 

What if your single?

Think about why they are there, to sell contracts. They really don't want to spend time with one partner knowing that the other may have questions plus they aren't caught up in the sales magic and might put a stop to the deal. If both are there since both will be owners, they can both feel the magic and couples tend to get each other excited, they can close the deal on the spot.

Singles aren't an issue, you should get the same signing bonus.

We went up to a DVC booth while in a theme park. We legitimately had a couple of questions, and the person working there said "I'll tell you what, why don't you talk to one of our guides? We can offer you a $50 giftcard and free fastpasses." We agreed upon a time and place to meet up later, and he walked us to a van that took us directly to our sales pitch.

Gotcha. But we aren't doing the parka those 2 days so I need to figure something else out

I am sure the same strategy would work at one of the resorts or at Disney Springs. We just stopped, asked what the tour entailed, mentioned that we had heard someone at another kiosk mention FP and a gift card, and we were all set. We got $100 and 3 FP each. They also helped us get a later FP for a ride we would have missed because of the time it took to close (we were planning to purchase at CCV and did).
