DVC resales

We purchased a resale through Reid. We closed early this summer. There was a difference in stated points available. I had called Disney directly about a few questions on the contract. The CM I spoke with handles all of Disney's end of resales. She could not answer all of my questions, but helped out a lot. She was able to "tag" that contract so when the resale closed it would automatically be added on under our current member number. She was the one that informed me of the difference in the available points, and had asked if I had been notified(which we had not). I called Reid and the matter was remedied to our satisfaction. There are definitely not any spontaneous updates, but I do have to say any phone calls were returned within hours. When we purchase again, I would look at Reid's listing along with everyone else's.

We bought our second resale through The Timeshare Store this summer. It was very smooth, just as the first resale was 5 years earlier. I was looking for a 150-350 point resale at BWV with a use year June or later with points left over. I ended up with a 200 contract with an August use year and 100 banked points.

I contacted all the other resale agents mentioned. Reid was very personable on the phone, but didn't seem to want to do any leg work. I had to comb his listings and call him when I saw something I liked. Both Jaki and Shontell took my name, number and requests and I somehow slipped through the cracks. Jaki finally contacted me months later. Shontell never did :(. I was particularly disappointed in the two women since others had such good luck with them. It was Pat at the Timeshare Store earned our business.

Not sure where it was used in this thread but "CM" usually means cast member
