I see how the points work I believe. Say you buy into one resort and they are selling 200 points at a given price. You pay that amount plus fees etc, but then once you use those points you get more the following year and is it cost you, say another $18000 for another 200 points?? Another words is it costing you roughly $15,000 and up a year??? One week at some of these resorts is usually just under or about 200 points so you would use them up right away..I am just trying to understand the DVC. Thank you

No, the fee you pay for your original points is it. You will have to pay a yearly maintenance fee, but that is it.

you only pay for the pts you want ( say 150 for $15000) ONCE.
You get the same 150 pts every year on the 1st day of your use year( Aug, Sept etc)
All you pay yearly are the maint. fees .

No- the purchase price is a one time expense. After that initial purchase, your points will be renewed on the Use Year date each year. If you purchase 200 points with an April Use Year, you will get 200 more points each April 1 as long as you stay current on the annual maintenance fees. Maintenance fees vary by resort, but generally fall in the $4-$5 per point range at this time.

Here's a link to the maintenance fees. You would multiple the resort by the number of points you own at that resort to get an idea of the annual payment.
