DVC preview of Pandora!

I didn't get an email.

You do have to be booked on your own points.

We're booked at Pop (out of points AGAIN :crazy2:) and are booked for DVC preview on the 20th. So you just need to be on site, not necessarily on a DVC points stay.

We are also be at Port Canaveral that morning, and we are also going to find a car rental to get back in time. So very excited to see this!!! We are going May 22!!

Just had to cancel my reservation to Pandora , It begins at 9am and ends at 11am and there is no way I can make it off the ship to see this and I am unable to see it prior to my Sailing date. MS is trying to get this canceled for me , SAD So SAD :sad::sad:

Might be worth your while to stop by when you are there JIK they are holding soft openings other than these reservations. Good luck

Didn't get an AP email (they do have the correct info), then saw the sign up for DVC. Read you needed to be staying onsite, so I hopped on and booked a reservation. :rotfl: Living local does has its perks! Added my son and his family to the reservation, since they also live local.

They wouldn't let me reserve a day that I had booked on someone else's points.

DH booked online for us. He said he had to check a box to say we were staying at a DVC resort or another WDW resort, and he had to enter our reservation number. No issues at all. It seems to me that if the reservation is in your name, you should be able to book no matter how the stay is being paid for. But what seems logical to me doesn't always work for Disney!

I got the email for AP holders although didn't see it until this afternoon. Won't be there at that time but clicked anyway just to check it out and discover it's all booked up. Wasn't very surprised of course.

Just booked a trip down specifically for this, and grabbed a spot in the DVC preview on the 20th. Hoping to also get tickets for the D23 preview on the 19th, but even if I don't, I have the one two-hour window secured!

I read about the preview and checked out the terms. DH hd been wanted to go on opening day but he is in a scooter and the crowd level is going to be high so this preview is ideal for us. I grabbed a DVC SSR studio real quick for two nights and then followed the DVC link to get us a time slot. There was one on the 16th so I grabbed it. Yeah!

It would require the owners membership number on the form. So looks like it was part of the criteria to register. There were a lot of restrictions. I had to enter my member ID number, confirmation number for my room reservation, which resort I was staying at, my email, my phone number, how many people I'm bringing, and the full name of each person, then it did note the resale restrictions too. I was surprised on how much info they wanted. I actually had to log into my dvc account since I don't generally print my reservations just to get all the numbers so it took me awhile.

I gave the MS member my number. He said he didn't see a confirmed booking on my number and so I didn't qualify to register. The same MS member also told me I couldn't reserve 5/13 because the part of my stay that WAS on my points ended on the 13th.

I tried to tell him that's crazy, that each night's stay is both that night and the two days surrounding it. 1. That's true for EMH. 2. Access to resort amenities 3. DDP 4. Parking, etc.

It makes no sense that the same wouldn't apply to this.

No deal he said. Since I didn't get an email, I didn't have a link.

I hung up, moved points around, booked a throwaway SSR room for the 16th, and called back.

2nd MS said first one was wrong and booked me in for the 13th based on my original room booking.

The first MS member was the one who said, "I'm reading from the registration instructions and it says 'must have confirmed reservation booked on member's own points'." He said he was quoting the instructions verbatim.

Apparently not.

I'm registered for the 13th. But. It took two 20 minute holds for DVC and in addition needlessly manipulating my points.

So happy for those who got reservations for the preview!!!!! Anyone know if previews are still available May 13-15? If so, would an associate member with a reservation be allowed? I am an associate member on my parents' membership. Since my mom passed last year, my dad has decided to transfer membership to me and my siblings. He's starting the process, but I'm not sure how long that will take before we leave for our trip in May.

If you have a blue DVC card I think yes and yes.

Couldn't hurt to try:

Even if you don't have a blue card, I'd add you dad's name to the reservation, register for the event and bring your dad's DVC card with you. I'd say the odds of being granted access with a card and reservation In hand are fairly high.

Right now, I am on the Wonder and am so happy I paid for more Internet minutes! Someone on our TA cruise posted about this for embarkation day, May 13. I figured it would be closed, but no, we got in! Now I have to convince hubby that we can get to the ship if we leave WDW 11ish. We have a rental car to turn in and shuttle to the port.

What do you folks think? We should make it! Right? For this cruise we left at 10, got in the ship by 12:30.

I received the confirmation email after booking, but have not received an email yet about where to go to check in. Has anyone else received one? It says to expect an email no later than May 12, but I was hoping to get it before the 12th as we leave that day to go to WDW.

We're booked for both AP and DVC previews on successive days and haven't received check-in instructions yet for either event.

Same. We are booked for Saturday May 13, and haven't received check-in email yet. Received the confirmation back in March.

We were told that we should receive an email on May 12th, tomorrow. We are booked for may 13th. MS actually called us because of an issue about our reservation that had to be straightened out.
