DVC Mike Live from BWV/SSR (3/7-3/15/09)

So we've been asking each other questions like, I wonder how many days you can spend at WDW using 1000 points wisely? And how many points do you think we'll get up to some day? (We have 400 now--150 at BWV and 250 at BLT. We've only owned for a couple of years.)

We purchased our initial set of points assuming we'd stay in a Studio. When I first bought, I never thought about adding-on.

I made the mistake of booking a 1-BR unit for our very first DVC stay, and we got hooked. Even though there's just two of us, we almost always tends to stay in 1-BR units.

Then we discovered other resorts that we loved so much we decided we wanted to add-on there.

Besides my original DVC contract, I now have 20 add-on contracts!

I guess we love Disney.

OMG, it's making me cry. MIKE, you're the best from another mom. My DD just got her "purple folder" for the Fall. Think I'm going to cry some more for Jillpie...that is the nicest thing you could do for a mom missing her kid.

My daughter just got her purple folder for Fall '09, too! We'll have to have Mike be the 'Official' Disney College Program kid spotter! LOL! Just kidding, Mike.

I showed up before he started his shift, and when they told him he was disappointed he had missed me. He clearly misses you greatly. I was a bit surprised when he asked me "Are you Mike?".

This has been a great read. I must admit I'm suffering from the green-eyed monster. While we are fortunate enough to have just returned from a trip to Vero Beach in Feb, we won't return to the World until September for a family reunion of sorts. DH turns 62, his DB 60, and we've invited their former MIL and her fiance who have never been to WDW. It will be fun, but the waiting is making me crazy.

We stopped by the DVC Sales Center and picked up a copy of the new soft-cover Dream book, picked up our neighbors at SSR, and then headed out to dinner at Jiko.

I had the Barbecue Chicken Flatbread followed by the Oak-Grilled Filet Mignon with Macaroni & Cheese and Red Wine Sauce. It was delicious. Our neighbors had the Berbere-braised Pork Shank and the Grilled Swordfish.

I'm a little late to the party, but I just found your report. As always, you have great pics and reviews. I especially appreciate those Kidani pics you posted. We'll be staying at our home for Christmas and can't wait.
