Dvc membership card…showing no discount error

My membership card says ND, annual pass

Does that mean I have No Discount, but that I am an AP member, which I am not.?

I still have the old blue membership card from 12 years ago. That has no expiration date on them will that be good.
It seems that several people that were older resale memberships- but still blue card- have gotten the AP designation as DVC is slowly fixing the ND’s to Y’s. No one knows why?!

I would take the old blue card along, plus a digital copy of your blue card that shows it’s current (screenshot or print it out straight from the DVC website), plus I would ask MS to look into your specific mobile pass issue if you are traveling soon. (Some CM’s have insisted they see the new mobile pass.)

That’s what DVC said, but there are a lot of CM’s still fine with the old way. There are cases running the gamut from “I’ll take your word” to physical card is fine to “I must see your magic mobile pass” … and I experienced every single one of those during my week in February… and I’m not alone. There are several reports of crazy inconsistencies!

We were there in February as well. The Guest Services cast member at AK told us the physical cards were no longer accepted when we were activating our AP renewals. So...we didn't attempt to use them again.

It definitely seemed like the people most likely to be heckled regarding this issue were those activating AP’s. The store & dining discounts seemed more wildly inconsistent.

I was partly whipping my card out due to habit, but also partly bc I knew there were issues with this & wanted to do a little research… so, I kept trying 😉
 
Mine magically updated to Y in my apple wallet; sometime between when I was there last week and now.
 

By the way, is the scannable code for my AP/ticket?
If you have an iPhone or Apple Watch and Express Mode is turned on, you just need to touch the iPhone or Watch to the reader for park and/or LL queue entry. For Android, I think you need to open Google Pay before touching the phone to a reader. QR code would be a backup if the touch point can't read your phone.

our experience currently visiting.
I have not been able to get the digital card linked to MDE, and did not bring the physical card since I had read CM were not accepting them.
I was advised to grab a screen shot of the digital card from the member website, which I did.
Tried to use it at one restaurant, they would not take that, nor would they accept it when I opened my account and showed them the very same in my member account.
Then at a couple of shops when asked if I had DVC, I explained what my issue was. First one was sympathetic and stated they had a large number of guests coming through with similar issues, so after seeing the card in my member account felt confident that I qualified for discount.
The second was hesitant, said she had talked to a few guests with issues, but in the end she also granted the discount.
Honestly though, this is just feeling like "how it is right now". This trip has been full of annoyances, inconveniences, and frustrations that we have never experienced and I feel embarrassed having our friends along for their first trip.

I find it crazy how inconsistent experiences are. With our AP, sometimes they don't even check the card, yet with DVC they are scrutinizing people like they're lying? Bizarre.
 
Trip this weekend and added the digital card to my Apple Wallet for the first time.
I am originally a resale owner and then added on direct to get "blue card" eligibility.
My Affiliation states: ANNUAL, DVC

It does not have the Y or ND designation after DVC. Any ideas if this is going to work for discounts?
I printed out the membership card from the website as a backup.
 
Anyone else still having the DVC ND glitch? My original DVC contract is resale, but I have since purchased 150 points direct under a different membership number. So I am a non-grandfathered "Blue Card" member now, but it still says DVC ND on my MagicMobile card.

How recently did you purchase direct? Mine took a few weeks from direct purchase to switch from ND to Y.

FYI, I purchased my direct contract in early March 2022 and just added the MagicMobile card to my digital wallet about a week ago. But doing the phone number reset trick I mentioned above fixed the issue.
 
Very inconsistent this trip even though I have DVC Y on magic mobile. Sometimes I showed that and they asked for my plastic card instead. One didn't ask for any proof.

We checked into the DVC club and the CM checking in still allowed the 2 people in front to use their cards. One lady had an oooooold card! They couldn’t even find her in the system it was so old… CM let her upstairs to “have it looked into” Next Owner just showed the last current blue card and was let up. Neither was asked for ID as I was 3rd in line and heard /saw everything. I presented my Digital card with Y designation which she watched me unlock with my face and she proceeds to ask ME for ID 🤨 anyway, once upstairs, the first guest was arguing with the CM because she didn’t want to verify her information.

Finally after her family had been settled and grabbed the snacks, she proceeds to the desk with the CM who tries to locate her in the system. Long story short, she was no longer an owner and therefore not eligible to be upstairs. They asked her and her party to leave. Boy was she upset! This could have easily been avoided if the CM downstairs had followed their own rules! We showed our Digital card and was never asked for ID at the restaurants and or at checkout? I wish they would just be consistent with how they handle this.
