DVC members cards & check in

Do we have to show our membership card upon check in? I am asking this more on behalf of renters then members. I have a renter who is concerned when they go to check in at the resort they will ask for and she won't have it. I have only been home once since buying and of course I showed it as I was just so excited but thought I would ask the boards since I am new to renting points too. I don't believe we have to but I want to reassure them.

No, just a photo ID for check-in. The member card is used for DVC Member perks/discounts.

Nopers, one does not have to show the DVC membership card upon check in.

Since non-members renting a reservation from a member are not entitled to DVC perks and benefits, the blue member card is not needed by them.
