I'm sorry if anyone else has already covered this prior, but it was new to me. I called MS this morning to add some priority seating ressies for a reservation which I had already made for June. At the beginning of the call - prior to a CM picking up - the automated voice asked me to stay on the line after I was through talking to the CM for a short automated survey, so I did. It asked the typical quality of service questions and had me rate several aspects of the call 1 - 5, with 5 being the best. I gave my CM good marks due to her being very helpful, as is my usual experience. The interesting thing was the last question. They asked me how I would prefer to make future reservations and gave me the choice of 1) by phone, 2) by fax, 3) by e-mail, and 4) by INTERNET.

I know that I have read several threads asking why we can't have some way of making ressies via the internet - they may be starting to look into it with these random surveys.

They have been doing these surveys for some time. I really don't think they mean much unless they get the answer they are seeking to a particular question. They have been asking that last question on surveys for some time now.

Well I hope they take the hint and bring their reservations system into the 20th century (now that we're in the 21st). ;)

It would be a simple matter to at least allow people to do priority seatings via the web. If we can book air travel and hotel rooms at non Disney locations over the web why can't Disney catch up?

Actually, it was announced at the OKW annual meeting that DVC is indeed working on puting together an active online reservation/account management site for members. They said it is still sometime in the future before it will be available. Evidently the software to track reservations, add-on contracts, and everything that MS does it very complicated (just get one their printouts  ). They are having trouble getting accurate crosstalk for real-time online operation in a program that will be easy for members to use.

At least they are certainly aware of our desires for this ability and are working on it.
