I don't think they will have the shirts until about 30 days out - that is what I believe they did last time - I keep checking and they have not showed up yet. I keep thinking they were around $20 each.

Pat - THANKS for handling our FE - I appreciate you taking the job on and all your hard work! Now I really have to get my FE gifts done. I have this habit this time of year of watching Explore to watch the Bears at Katmai National Park in Alaska - it is an addiction - so I am going to have to tear myself away from my bears and get some stuff done! They are just so darn entertaining!

The weather people are saying NO RAIN - for this week-end - Yeah - of course the temps are to be triple digits - maybe it will dry things out!

Funny note - I was looking at airfare for the Norway cruise (you all know how David is about flying...) so he says (wait for it...) don't they have a cruise to the cruise??????????? Are you kidding me? Of course they do! Now you say something? So I pull up Disney's Trans Atlantic Cruise - which goes right to the Dover port on the day my cruise starts - I told him - I can have this booked so fast it will make your head spin.. it is almost the same cost for an inside stateroom as the cost for airfare / hotel (1 night) / transfers / food to get to London - I can fly to Orlando on my SW points and take Magic Express - DVC points for hotel night before - then take Disney to Port - Save the cost of Airfare over to Europe etc - You know he changed his mind! go figure..... Got me all excited for nothing!!! I should just book it today and tell him! I wonder how mad he would be????? hee hee and then tell him it is non-refundable... hee hee I wonder if he would believe me?? I doubt it.. I should book Jenn and me and tell him since he didn't want to go - he can fly over and meet us there! They would go over like a lead balloon! Back to looking for airfare! If it gets too much more expensive - I am booking the cruise! Hee hee

I am thinking about making our own cruise shirts, as hubby and I are both plus size and 3x is pretty snug on me. I have been stalking a few places for shirts as I usually make our shirts when we go to WDW as a family. I have been pinning on Pinterest for some new ideas, LOL.
BTW, I found some really cute bows at Hot Topic...I have a Peter Pan one, a Queen of Hearts, and an UP bow so far. I thought they would be fun and quirky, then will give them to my daughter.
I also make an album for big trips like this. Our first cruise album cover is on Pinterest, as well as this one. I made my SN@P album look like Ellie's Adventure book. I also made our FE gifts, as well as some treats to hand out to those we meet along the way. My kids ended up stealing some stuff to send their best friends.
Anyone else getting crafty for the cruise?

Oh my gosh the stress of trying to book this is crazy! We had all the info written out and were patiently waiting to make the call. We started at 8am on the dot. Hubby got a ringing early on that went on for some time and then finally the 'sorry we are closed' message, ugh. We had this happen FOUR times, on both the 800 and the 407 number. (Once it rang for almost four minutes before that message came on). I was on hold 49 minutes until I got a LIVE person and we are in the process of confirming!

WOOHOO!!!! We are booked!! Cabin 7029. Hubby (Dale) and myself! Please join the fun!

Meet Ups Planned

Top of the World Lounge Meet UP ~ Sunday, August 23at 8:30pm
Some of those wanting to meet up Sunday evening for a drink (or a quick hello) at the Top of The World Lounge on the top of Bay Lake Towers. You must be staying on-site and bring your DVC card to gain access to this lounge (elevator from the lobby directly there) (I'm just guestimating a time for now)

Boma Breakfast ~ Monday, August 24at 7:30am There is a LARGE group of 50 or more already involved in this. It's too late to get in on the group reservation but you can book your own for that same time and we'll try and get seated together.
A pre-cruise meet up for breakfast before heading to the port. Boma breakfast is approximate $21-25 for adults; and around $12 for kids (these prices are the most recent I could find).

Official Meet UP - D Lounge ~ Monday, August 24at 3:00pm
We will hold our typical getting to put face to name meet up prior to the lifeboat drill in the D Lounge located on Deck four mid-ship.

Breakfast meet ~ Cabanas or Royal Palace at 8:30 or 9 AM 1st CC day

Lunch at Cabanas ~ noon on the sea day

We closed the FE sign ups the other day. I emailed those in the fourth adult group to see if ok to add your cabin. It is an adult group so the gifts would be geared to adults and not sure if your daughter would enjoy it as much. (some may give her gifts also, but they signed up to be in the 'adult' exchange). I'll let you know. In the meantime, keep posting because you have to have 10 posts in order to send your info to me.

Pat, you are so right about what you can get for free from room service and what you get for pay as far as the gifts in the room go! Nice of you to mention that here.

I still have not heard about official DVC Member Cruise tees. Has anyone?

There is still time to sign up for the Candy Exchange, sign ups go on to the 15th of July!

If anyone who is at WDW before the cruise has not seen the Frozen Fireworks at DHS, I highly recommend them. Tom and I both love how synchronized they are with the music. We saw them again last night. Our favorite place to see them is from behind the lake, sitting in front of Hollywood and Vine. A CM once recommended the area to us and she was right, it's a great spot!

Bobbi, I'm thinking about changing our fastpasses for the 23rd to morning for the Mine Train so we can be at DHS in the evening for the Frozen Fireworks but I can't find anything about a time...there are times all day for the stage show and those end at 7:30pm. What time are the Frozen Fireworks? There's also an 8:30 Fantasmic that night. Debbie

I'd love to see the Frozen Fireworks but we are meeting 11 other friends for dinner at Ohana at 9:30 the day we are at MGM (the day we arrive 8/21). Bummed but looking forward to a great day all around.

The night we saw the Frozen Fireworks they were at 9:30. There were 2 Fantasmics that day, I think at 9 and 10:30 if I remember correctly.

Donna, as I mentioned to Lucille, our FE closed the other day (45 days out). I have an adult group that is not full and I've emailed them to see if they don't mind another cabin or two. We kept our groups to 12 cabins for ease and planning.
