My doggie is still not feeling much better - he has been on rice and eggs for almost a month now. I added some boiled hamburger and chicken this week - I think it is the chicken that is getting to him. He goes to the vet tonight. Lucky for him he can stand to lose a few pounds - so I am not worried about him if he has lost a few pounds - would just like him to feel better. I think I will have to start making his food as I have not been able to find a food to feed him from the store - all make him sick eventually. He has issue - too many to mention - nothing serious - most allergy related. He is no spring chicken either - he is 9 1/2 years old - lab mix. Acts like a puppy and a bit crazy (in a fun way). He wore me down on getting his treats from coming inside - he would just sit there by his container looking so sad - bumping it with is nose and giving me the look - like hey - Are you forgetting something??>?? YO I am sitting here ? I did my business outside - I get a treat!! Come back here and give me a Treat!!! I couldn't take the guilt any longer and I caved in! So far he has kept them down so I figured it was OK!

I have had appts every night this week - can't seem to get anything else done - I hate weeks like this! Next week will be better and I hope this STUPID rain will be gone - seems like it has rained every day for FOREVER! My yard has not been dry in I don't know how long - it is a swamp! Rained all day yesterday and calling for more today! Poor people who were swept away by floods or bad storms - it is terrible. Mother Nature is all messed up! Any it was only in the 60s yesterday! For July! I wore a sweatshirt! Crazy..

I also have been checking for a cabana - no luck and doubt anyone will cancel one - but would love to split one if I get lucky enough to snag one - miracles do happen. That would be the only way I would ever convince DH to get one would be to split one - as he would never go for one for the two of us at what they cost. I know on my last cruise - none were available - then on our day at CC - it was not a sunny day - most of the cabanas were empty! I thought Hmm - couldn't get one before - now they sit empty - I guess Disney receives their money if you use them or not. Actually the beach was mostly empty - most people I think stayed on the ship - we pretty much had the beach on the Adult side - it was really nice - there was maybe 20 of us - Then after lunch - about 10 if you were lucky. The weather was not that bad!

Well I have to get to work - Hope everyone has a Great Day - Taking Riley to the Vet is always an Adventure so I will need to rest us! He does not like other dogs and he gets over excited thinking everyone wants to see him and there is no controlling him - he just wears you out and he is kind and Always leaves a gift (if you know what I mean) for the vet! He is so giving....Sometimes he gives multiple times!

Lynn, I feel for you and Riley! Our Belle is an English Bred Black Lab, and she thinks she deserves a treat for everything! My sister comes over and spoils her more...Belle is 11 1/2, and we have had her for 4 years...in fact her Homecoming is very soon, we adopted her July 20, 2011. She had terrible bowels digestive problems. Sprinkling a probiotic on her food as well as a prescription diet worked, eventually she did not need the probiotic. She is on Hill's BD.

Your weather sounds dreadful....you need sunshine and a vacation! I hope the sunshine gets there first!

Last day to sign up for the FE is tomorrow July 10th. I'll be coming off a string of midnights so it will take me a few days but I'll email each person their group info or a link to a google doc with that info.

We lived in Cedar Falls. 2002 - 2014 Now I've moved back home to Florida - definitely don't miss the winters!

Lol, I don't miss the cold. Still get plenty of snow but not insanely bitter cold. The lake helps buffer us from a lot of stuff from Canada. Wow, we lived within an hour of each other. Again, I say small world!

Doggie Update - Good News - He is not sick - Well he has what we believe is a new allergy - As he is getting older he is getting more food allergies! So we are now in search of a food he can eat! He has lost 4 pounds (which is a good thing) - Down to 80 pounds! The vet gave him some pills for his tummy and trimmed his nails! We are going to try a Salmon based food and see how that goes before we move on to the expensive food - yeah right - he must not have priced the Salmon based food - I did last night and Ouch! But better than having a sick dog!

Lynn, my Bella has severe allergies (she can't even be vaccinated). She is on a salmon and sweet potato food. We get it at PetSmart (Simply Nourish) and it's much more affordable than the Prescription Diet our bulldog is on (have to have a prescription card to even purchase that one).

Glad he's not sick though.

Well, my third midnight is done and I must have been wiped out, slept two hours past my alarm, uh oh. Now to get some things done around the house and hopefully find some time to get my FE's worked on this weekend.

Belle is at a new for her kennel now while I celebrate new knees. This kennel even agreed to augment her dry food with green beans, Belle is constantly hungry! New knees are doing great!

Bobbi, I work 8's (I am dead at the end of three of those mid-nights, i can't imagine doing 12's). We give our dogs veggies in their food also (told years ago to help get some weight off).

Got an email from DCL with some 'helpful information' about our upcoming cruise. Wanted to share some info that is not listed. The food trays (fruit; cheese) that you can order ahead of time to have waiting in your room are nice, BUT, if you wait until you are on board, you can order selections from room service for FREE! There is a fresh fruit tray and a cheese platter (both of which are free). Please remember to TIP the person who delivers your room service as that tipping is not included in your other tips. Customary tipping is $1 per item you order. Room service is available 24 hours a day and at busy times can take a bit to be delivered. Mickey bars or chocolate chip cookies and milk are great nighttime snacks.

There is still time to sign up for the Candy Exchange, sign ups go on to the 15th of July!

If anyone who is at WDW before the cruise has not seen the Frozen Fireworks at DHS, I highly recommend them. Tom and I both love how synchronized they are with the music. We saw them again last night. Our favorite place to see them is from behind the lake, sitting in front of Hollywood and Vine. A CM once recommended the area to us and she was right, it's a great spot!

Bobbi, I really thought the email yesterday would have said something about them but it didn't. I have a friend making us ones so I'm going to stick with hers and save the money for now.

I don't think they will have the shirts until about 30 days out - that is what I believe they did last time - I keep checking and they have not showed up yet. I keep thinking they were around $20 each.

Pat - THANKS for handling our FE - I appreciate you taking the job on and all your hard work! Now I really have to get my FE gifts done. I have this habit this time of year of watching Explore to watch the Bears at Katmai National Park in Alaska - it is an addiction - so I am going to have to tear myself away from my bears and get some stuff done! They are just so darn entertaining!

The weather people are saying NO RAIN - for this week-end - Yeah - of course the temps are to be triple digits - maybe it will dry things out!

Funny note - I was looking at airfare for the Norway cruise (you all know how David is about flying...) so he says (wait for it...) don't they have a cruise to the cruise??????????? Are you kidding me? Of course they do! Now you say something? So I pull up Disney's Trans Atlantic Cruise - which goes right to the Dover port on the day my cruise starts - I told him - I can have this booked so fast it will make your head spin.. it is almost the same cost for an inside stateroom as the cost for airfare / hotel (1 night) / transfers / food to get to London - I can fly to Orlando on my SW points and take Magic Express - DVC points for hotel night before - then take Disney to Port - Save the cost of Airfare over to Europe etc - You know he changed his mind! go figure..... Got me all excited for nothing!!! I should just book it today and tell him! I wonder how mad he would be????? hee hee and then tell him it is non-refundable... hee hee I wonder if he would believe me?? I doubt it.. I should book Jenn and me and tell him since he didn't want to go - he can fly over and meet us there! They would go over like a lead balloon! Back to looking for airfare! If it gets too much more expensive - I am booking the cruise! Hee hee
